Well I would not be racing it, it's terrible. I will try to use it next year for something, maybe a different layout. Apologies to anyone who has spent part of their family fortune buying the track.

Thanks Matt, must be me, the problem is only when the car is very slow and turning at full lock. Once I sped up problem disappeared, only had time for an exploratory lap after updating. It just didn't feel right need practice.

I should be able to join this race. I'm glad the track was switched. Not a big fan of Paul Dick.

I'm still not a fan of RBR/A1/Osterreich/Zeltweg/Spielberg (actually, when it was Osterreich/Zeltweg it was ace). I'm polar opposite to most, as ever.
Anyhoo, enough of that. I got to the end of a Group 5 race.. I don't care who won, filled the podium, I'm off to bask in my own glory... lol.
I made the mistake, of trying to race the Capri's that came back toward me. Ambitions and capabilities, all mixed up. Sorry, to whomever fell victim, to my arrow left on the grid.
Grats Reinhard, Tim and TM. Thanks again gents.

Really enjoyed my first outing in these G5 beasts last night. This is how I always imagined a powerful race car with big tyres would drive like. Lots of power oversteer but nearly always correctable. I think most incidents I had last night were braking too late and understeering off or turning too much and swapping ends.
Might have to free up Thursday evenings more often!

I had a good time also. It was great racing with Reinhard. It was cool seeing the contrast between the Zakspeed and the fabcar. I had the straight line speed in the fabcar, and Reinhard had me out-braked in every turn. We ran similar lap times until I got engine damage with 6 min left. Ultimately, it was Reinhard's consistency that won the race. He's a rock.

Good to have you guys with us. The other cars in these historic series are not so insane as the Gr5 but even the lower powered ones seem to give some great racing. Next week is the final event for season 2. Looks like Anty is otherwise engaged or he would also be up there in the top 3. Next year, more of the same, with an occasional "guest car" event to spice it up a bit.

i had a very good race, i was always close behind tim, but was not able to overtake him, as it looks like he was a little faster in laptimes then me, but i did try to make not much little mistakes, which was extrem difficulty in this cars. later he did get a "slow down" penalty after T1 i think and i was able to overtake and was able to hold lead then till finish, which was from lap to lap more difficulty, as the car was extremst difficulty in doing brake, in beginning of race, i had only 1xtimes lift the trottle for not locking brake to much, but later i had to lift 2xtimes and sometimes lift 3xtimes during one brake for corner, this was so difficulty and nearly not possible to have exactly brake points, and doing brake in a line was difficulty too, car was always try to get right or left side during brake.
-have other people same problems in brake, or is this only me??-
in last laps the car did so much understeer in the middle fast corners and like i did write, extrem hard to brake, that i had to concentrate 100% on limit, 30min. in this cars is same hard as 60min. in GT3 cars for sure. but i like this cars (the capri most).
congrats all finisher

Oh yes, definitely. I was fighting with the brakes from the start. In practice, I realized I could control my line better under braking with the brake bias more towards the rear. But the rear wheels would lock up very easily and I would end up not slowing down enough. So I opted to go with my bias more towards the front. This made me slow down better, but the car would violently shoot left or right. This is what caused my slow down penalty. I think I should have stayed with the brake bias towards the rear and maybe reduced the brake pressure a little. Those cars definitely require a sensitive touch on the brake and throttle.

Yes, I noticed I had started to overshoot corners and need to brake earlier to negotiate corners. Only found out after race that brake wear has now been implemented.
Pleased with PB in qualifying but didn't allow enough for cold tyres on the first lap and had to fight to keep car pointing in the right direction on the gravel, other than that entertaining night.
