Are you going to switch off the GTR2 server before or during the session next time?

Tested the Mini 1275s and had no problems whatsoever.
The default setup has mighty understeer and hardly gets you up the hilly section.
I decided the run the stiffest shock/damper setting together with a highest setting for the rear anti-rollbar et voila... the Mini has a nice oversteer which makes powersliding through the corners possible; That's what I most like about PnG: you can control powerslides nicely and enables me to push to car more.

Found out that the Mini is a match for the Alfa/Tanks in the twisty bits but hopelessly outclassed on the straights  Sad
Had some nice battles with fellow-GDC driver Sandor tho and got by two cars who had collided (visible yellow flags.. now that's an improvement!).

Love to do some more testing and gutted for you guys who showed up to find the server full.

Grats to Madd for the first SRou PnG victory ever.

Pff,
That was hard after 3 weeks of no racing.
Wanted to play save and go for the Alfa but even that was too hard for me.  Making a set-up isn't my piece of cake so ended up with the standard one and in my hands it was eating my tyres. After only 5 laps I was going all sides.

First few laps were fun when racing with Legzy (thanx for waiting after the minor hit) and Alex ( Once you passed me I couldn't keep up with you, way too fast).
After that it was just keeping out of the way for the rest of you and practice.

I've had great fun and am looking forward to the next race / car choice.

I think the standard procedure for running championship events is to shut all other servers down before starting up the desired server and they stay off until the event is over.

I generally connect to the Srou remote server 10-15 mins before published start time and use that time to a: warn folk that the server will be restarting shortly and to save their setups and b: shut down any other games dedicated servers that are running.
It seems that this COULD have caused a mass CTD in the pre-race PnG practice server.
For the next race I will do exactly the same again...just to see if the CTDs happen again.
If so, for any future events I will only shut down the other servers AFTER closing the PnG server prior to resetting for the race. This would illiminate the problem.

Oh yeah, forgot that. It was a good few laps  Smiley & sorry for the tap... I over rushed the passing move having already lost a bunch of places off the line.

I wonder if the fact that P&G is really just GTR2 - and thus we have two GTR2 installs running simultaneously - might also cause a problem?
