Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 2240s

There are two parts to this incident. Part one concerns Bob M. rejoining the track in an unsafe manner. Part two involves Roguk and Phspok colliding. We will deal with Part one first.
Although Bob M. has convinced himself that his rejoining was the cause of the aforementioned collision we can not support this claim. The replay shows a clear track, from the cockpit of Bob M\\\\\\\'s car at the point of rejoining the track. He joins in a controlled manner and moves to the RHS of the track allowing enough room for others to pass and proceed\\\\\\\'s to accelerate away. We therefore judge this rejoin to be as good as could be expected in the circumstances.
Part two involves Phspok and Roguk who are fast approaching the recovering Bob M. vehicle. Phspok passes Bob M. but is hit by the Roguk who apologises but fails to slow to allow Phspok to retake his position, either immediately or on any lap after the collision. We therefore fine Roguk a three posion penalty.

Cars allowed: Aston Martin DBR1 Download this, Jaguar D-Type (1955 version only) Download this, Mercedes 300SL (LM55) Download this, Austin Healey 100 Download this, AC Ace Download this

Drivers are reminded that they are limited to only ONE drive with each make. Check your status HERE

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (26 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

You can adjust the seat position, up/down, forward/backward.

In the example above the default keys have been replaced with Q,E,W,S as I prefer the arrow keys for navigating the pit stop board.

Should be joining you guys for this race after a weekend at Brands Hatch watching historics ..................and getting very sunburnt!!.

A weekend spent with fellow GPL simracers, watching some classic cars on an iconic circuit...and just a little beer Roll Eyes............perfect.

I am now in rehab and hope to be fit ( although maybe not fully competent) for this evening.

Enjoy the D type Clive, I found the best way to stop that car was to use the scenery or a convenient tree!!

Glad you had a good time Clive. I know you were responsible for setting that meet up. Did the cup presentation go ok?

Still far from competitive with a PB 1:39.8 in the AC, but it's fun and I want/have to save the Jag and the DB1 for later  Roll Eyes

Just make sure that you keep Mable out of our pits!  We haven't had decent job out of the lad she took a shine to since the last time.  He refuses to change wheels any more because it involves bending down.  He insists on locking himself in the garage on his own before he dares to move away from the wall!

I questioned Mable about your lad and she claims that he is over reacting:-

"she only gave him a motherly hug, and how was she to know that he was unable to breathe when clamped cuddled against her chest, causing him to pass out ??
The mouth to mouth resucitation was an instinctive response that she felt obliged to administer as a ( partially ) trained first aider and she had only undone his belt and loosened his undergarments to ease his breathing. It greatly disappointed her that he ran away screaming as soon as he regained conciousness, as she had hoped to comfort him a little more"

Yes thanks Tony, all went really well.
Malcolm Shaw  ( Joe's father ) and partner presented the trophy to Robert Fleurk ( from Holland) overlooking Surtees Bend. Should be some pictures of the assembled miscreants coming up on UKGPL quite soon.

Kurt must fancy his chances in it for one of the two remaining fixtures in this series.
