Tony, remember racing here before but Xd is not showing fuel consumption/No of laps available on that amount of fuel! Is it me or have I missed something, all OK at Paramount Ranch on Monday. Roll Eyes

Have tried all my available cars and they're the same - no read out of laps available on remaining fuel, advice please.

Sorted, I think I tried the 4 cars I have left to drive, on what should have been timed laps, visiting too much scenery for it to be considered a timed lap!!  Roll Eyes

Picked a car and ran a few slow laps to remember where the sharp corners are and achieved a number of valid laps with fuel consumption working OK.  rockon

Nothing much to say about this race except very sorry to Rog for punting you off at T2. I waited & thought you had gone past only to realise later around the lap that you were still behind. Cruised around the rest of the lap & quit when you left.

Not really enjoying these 50s endurance races, so may give the rest of them a miss.

Coyote good fight, my car was too fast in straight.
I've seen the replay of the accident, you have very bad luck.
In the race I thought it was my fault  Huh, in repeticion  i see it no, the grass makes you lose control of the car.

Too bad yesterday for me, I had 2 choice or Maserati 5.7 or 4.5 and i took Maserati 4.5, i dont expalin why i choice Maserati 4.5 but i ready to choose again it.

About Maserati 5.7 my time lap on practice it was 2:18,5, i think it was possibility improve it on qualy, If I choice Maserati 5.7 but I repeat i m ready to take Maserati 4.5 again for sure because the winner yesterday finish in 1h and 01 minute, i think that i could go under 1h with Maserati 4.5, it was my program before start the race but just passed some laps i mistake, starnge mistake but important now i understood why i mistake..........I dont want explain on this post.

I want say thanks so much to Bob, he saved the situation and now our time has the possibility to fight for Team championship.............and Bob is very close to Erling on drivers Championship, Great Job Bob !!!!!

I want conclude saying to Geoffers very grats for his qualy lap with Ferrari 250 TR, I dont believed it was possible get 2:26 with 250 TR here.

Well, if you hadn't overtaken on the inside through that curve, I wouldn't have been on the grass, so I'm afraid you had a part in it - I couldn't make the turn in the outside lane  Sad

Erling

Grats to podium and all finishers, and commiserations to those who did not make it to the flag.

I'm still kicking myself over my dumb mistake, when I had a good chance of a comfortable 2nd place ( assuming I did not screw up the pit stop, where I would only need fuel and no tyres.....at least that was the plan!!).

I experienced something that I think Erling mentioned in an earlier race. During quali there were nice dark shadows on the road indicating braking areas...but in race they had all vanished and I was hunting for a braking marker at all corners, especially at the final 90 degree. As a result I was either braking far too late, or way too early!!! each with predictable results.
I had to park in the grass bank whilst following Erling when he also ran wide at the last corner. I might just have made the corner had his Fezza not been parked at a jaunty angle, but I did not wish to damage his car ( or mine) so early in the race. After I chased down Bob and eased past to take 2nd I built a nice gap, although I was losing ground to that big Maserati and DTR up front. But maybe I would recover some time at the pitstops??

I made the mistake of admiring how well the gap was growing after the first esses as I crossed that wooden bridge, instead of concentrating on the road. I clipped a pole and the car was airborne and spinning, despite landing on 4 wheels and scoring 9.8 for style the car was dead so I retired.

mental note...maybe turn off the HUD showing gaps so that it is not a distraction? is it possible to toggle that info with a key??

Last time we ran here with these cars, I rammed people and wrecked my 5.7 mazzer, so took the Aston
as it was less likely to come to grief.. wrong.
I slowed to avoid someone else's mistake in T1 and still ended up upside down, no damage, so set off last
after the field to find Geoffers recovering at the bridge, gave room, and was so busy trying to keep to one side
I impaled the car onto a bridge fence post which wrecked the steering. sigh

I believe you mean the XD data showing drivers names and relative distances to you.
In your main GTL folder you will find XD.ini which has all the information for customisation. You may find it better to move the data box to an alternative area of your screen instead of turning it off altogether?
All XD on screen info can be toggled on/off with the "\" key (I think).

I realise that I only achieved a podium place due to the misfortune of others and I'm not to happy about that. I had fueled my car for one short stint then a pitstop for a full tank and hoped I would not need tyres (I didn't). Clean laps up to pit time meant I was in a good place and after a clean pit stop I set off with perhaps more ambition than skill. I then had two laps where I managed to ock-up nearly every bend and braking point which not only damaged my car but caused me to drop places  censored
The remainder of the race was making sure I kept Michel a safe distance behind me as I was never going to catch the leading three. So I'll take the points but not in a joyous way.
Do hope Geoffers reconsiders.
