I love the track, it's a complete basket case.

The hairpin isn't too bad once you get the hang of it. My advice is to turn in late - later than seems sensible - and make sure you run with a decent amount of steering lock

Hey

This track is difficult, don't think I can do those laps all the time. Mr Berger will probably nail it every lap..

Ok have fun

Still more online problems ...... argh ..... game froze completely, just as quali was over.

To be honest I'm very close to giving up on RRE.

Wel I got dropped from a race once, possibly because I was still out on the track at end of qual, as has happened
to at least one other person. You were inthe pits I think? were you off track or still "in the pits" Don't know if that
bug is still init, but I always ask people to leave the track before end of Qual.

For me, was a corker of a race, very intense, at first was tyring to hang on to Jim's bumper, then was trying to keep Tom
from catching, he mosty was towards the end  Shocked my frontys were getting very worn, probably should have not been so
safe with the setup. Good race for those whow were in it, great shame many stayed away, not everyone's fave track I know
but was a great race.  Grin

Whats this with it finishing the race before everyone had crossed the line!  Huh

I made a mess of the hairpin on the last lap & had to 3-point turn it to sort it out, just got going again & 'race over', couldn't it wait for me to finish?

On a better note, I did enjoy the race although I'm still not happy with my steering settings, was losing heaps of time at the hairpin.

Anyway, congrats to the podium, cya at Spa.

Hi Gents

Thanx for allowing me to race with you guys.. I always appreciate it.

I don't like this track at all. I see the leaderboards and wonder how some of these guys get 2:25's or even 2:26's. I like monty carlo.. But when I mentioned it on the S3 forum i got shot down. Sometimes tight tracks mix it up a little. The day before yesterday my pc was broken. I had to do a format, something when wrong when I loaded my new screen drivers, anyway not a stress.

Jim got a good start and jumped me in turn 1, but thank goodness I got him back quick. Then I tried to just build a lead.

Hey Mr Berger
Yip we missed you tonight. But yes see you nect week.. Have fun

Cheers Gents

Was half expecting TIm and Pete to come along for this one, as they had posted on the leaderboard?

I am intending to run Macau and Nordschliefe occasionally this year. Being very different than "normal" tracks they are
IMHO a good variation in the season. I won't be running them every month, but probably once every 3 months.
So if you want to buy them (for the price of fish chips and peas) then you will get to use them
There is always disagreement about these "unusual" tracks, particularly Nordschleife, some warm to the challenge
some hate the lenght or the time it takes to learn them. I love them, though I hardly every finish a race at Nords
I do enjoy the experience.

One of the frustrating things for me as series organiser is the lack of choice of tracks compared to GTR2/GTL
There is bound to be a lot of repeats here. I try to vary it a bit, but some cars just don't suit some tracks
Group5 at Macau would be insane, whereas they work quite well at Spa and Suzuka. If there were more tracks
I would be less inclined to use tracks that some dislike, but I have to use all available ones sometime to keep things
from going stale.

Only just managed to drive around the track by the time the race ended. Saw as soon as I was pushing I started to run into walls. I don't have the feeling like I'd be faster woth more practice like I did in GTR2, was a bit strange. This really seems an inferior game. That said, I like it better than AC and that seems strange to me as well.

Might be my old bones, but I feel the quality of the racing sims is declining...  Undecided  Looks better, feels worse.

The race end delay is a server thing. You have to set the race finish to a time after the 1st place crosses the line
longest time is 120 secs, shortest is 30. When I have set 120 in the past, people would leave the server before the 120 secs, and it
screws up the results so I set it to 100 secs at the moment.

I am undecided about the "feel" of this, if I do some GTL or P&G it feels ok, when I do this it mostly feels more involving
some of the cars don't feel right to me, particularly if you give them lots of front grip, the back wanders around
unrealistically. same thing happens in GTR2/GTL with the 911 and others IMHO they can feel good, but they sort of wander around
as if the steering is loose. The Nissan in the Touring Classics seems to be on castors, and takes some getting used to.
Mostly I like this though, the racing is very good, so I am happy. I don't actually care too much
about eye candy, though the graphics and particularly the sound in this are really absorbing, one thing I do very much like about
this compared to other modern sims is that I can run it on my old Core2Duo at low res and it is smooth as silk
If I try to run PCars or AC it's a slide show. Everything runs ok on my i5 box, but I am not at that location for racing much.

+1

It almost made it into our Sunday night schedule as it's one of the rounds for the WEC but I wanted to keep costs down for the first season.

Thanks Anty, I will check it out. I have posted the next 8 races, so it may slip in for the next batch in March.
