Race: 20:30 ~ 30 Mins

Cars allowed: Group 5
Track: Spa

Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I think the differences are only in the pit config and start/finish line location.

Hmm, love to do these but i've tried these out on the test track and not sure i could drive any of them!

Yeah, your right Mark, but I wanted to check which leaderboard I should be using. BTW I cannot drive these either.

Edit: Just checked and the server is running the GP version of Spa which I presume is as intended.

This is the "Grand Prix" version, it is, as stated just a question of where you start from, the layout is the same.
This is the second time I've scheduled these cars at Spa, and I will miss this one again  cursing
I might make the GTL-F1 event Monday night if I can drive down to Brum after the race, but I will miss this one.

I can't really drive any of these Gr5 cars properly either, but they are a great drive if you can get it together well enough
The only one that I can drive anything like half decent is the Vette. I set everything at the front to max hard, and the rear to max soft
it understeeers too much, but I can gennerally finish a race. Sometimes I can then soften the front a bit to get a bit more pace without killing all
the spectators, but I have to start from max rear grip.
They are turbo nutter cars, not quite as nutter as Tony's Gr5 Bemmer series a few years ago, they were insane  Shocked
but these do need a very gentle right foot  Roll Eyes

Bought the cars & track the other night & tried the BMW 320, didn't find it too difficult get round Spa as long as you were a little careful on corner exit. Did 2.22 fairly comfortably with limited setup changes, so should be able to do 2.20s with a little more fiddling. Obviously that isn't going to challenge the front runners but getting to the end is the main priority!  Grin

Only really tough part for me here with these cars is the new bus stop chicane, actually thinking about it I might have made
the previous event  Huh I vaguely remember MJ getting excited by that chicane  Roll Eyes you have to almost stop and be sooooo
carefull with the power there, otherwise it's a good track for these beasts.

Hey Gents

These cars for me are pretty realistic. You need a few laps to get the tyres warm. Last season I was too hasty in race start lap one and I lost it on existing the S's. I did some setups today, the car feels better for me this time around, but tomorrow I get my new wheel, so I will have to calibrate it again. Hopefully I can be on pace before the race on Thursday. My week is pretty hectic. Martin we will miss you Champ.

Enjoy the week.. See you guys on Thursday

The steering feels really light, like it's not connected to the front wheels. Can I change something to give more steering "resistance"?

control settings>steering force

increasing vertical load can help too

Also consider running 100% steering rack instead of tyre forces as it feels more RL imo.

Tony, try increase your lateral load to 160 and set vertical to 80, I half it. Steering rack to 100, and understeer to 60, max force intensity to about 140, also in your profiler allow the game to change the setting enable. This works for me, but for others it might not. Thats on my G27. Tomorrow Will be whole other ball game for me, I am tredding new ground.. Ant
