This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 60 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR3" Class
One car change allowed during the season without penalty
Track: Hockenheim GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit-stops: Minimum 1 stop required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above
Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Any ideas how to practice with fuel and tyre multipliers?

Fuel usage for Ruf is approx. 1.6 litres per minute (therefore 3.2 litres with x2 setting). Fuel tank capacity is approx. 120 litres (but HUD currently only goes up to 100 litres.....will be updated very soon I believe).

First of all, don't bother with the safe/risky etc fuel settings, where's the fun in that? Set up a 60 minute single player race in your chosen car and note the time remaining when the fuel starts to drop down from 100 litres in the HUD. Then run for another 30 minutes and see how much fuel has been used. Multiply the number of litres used in 30 minutes by 4 and that should give you the total amount needed to complete a 60 minute race (with x2 fuel). You can then calculate how much fuel you'll need to put in at the stop.

Tyres are normal usage for this GTR3 series but you can use these races to learn tyre strategy if you're planning to run GTR3 class in the multiclass races where tyres and fuel will be x2.

i'm looking forward to this race and i like your settings. should make for some interesting strategy. if you guys want to practice, i have set up a server with these settings...

Hockenheim
practice 10 min
qualify 15 min
race 30 min

fuel usage: X4
tyre wear: X2
mech damage: off
cut rules: off
mand pitstops: on

let me know if you want me to change mech damage or cut rules. i hope you don't mind that i used the name "SIMRACING.ORG.UK GT3"
i thought i read somewhere that the ford won't be allowed, but i see above that it says... Any car from "GTR3" Class. will the fords be allowed? if not, i will remove them from the server.

Thanks for that Tim  Cool The only thing I'd say is maybe change the server name to simracing.co.timbo or something to differentiate from our practice server which will be up after Thursday's historic series race.

All "GTR3" cars including the Ford GT are allowed but I'd just urge the quicker drivers to consider a more challenging car choice. We certainly don't want a grid full of them that's for sure!

Not sure if I'll make the ESR race this evening as it's another drummer audition but I might join if I'm back in time and still have the will to live.

I'll change the name to "simracing.fuel x4" since there is no indication in the list of servers of fuel usage.

But its not expensive at all really, nothing like iR. I dont see it as any different to buying DLC. I think your only talking a couple of quid for a car if bought on its own.

I think GT has posted somewhere what you would need. But to cover most, you would need A GTR3 class car and prob the US and Euro track packs. I still not sure of the exact price TBH. You can buy vrp at a discount from a different shop to that of the raceroom shop for content, so that will save a bit. But i think 2000vrp is 20Euro and cars can be upto 500, so 5Euro.

if you want to commit, the best way to buy is what spanner said. buy vrp here... https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/list_page?cat=24 5000 vRp would get you a lot. you could get european track pack, american track pack, spa, dtm92 car pack, touring classics car pack, group 5 car pack, m1 procar pack, chevy daytona prototype pack, and a gt3 car. aquila cars are free. that would let you race in the int. endurance series, the historic series, the european gt masters series, and the aquila sport cup series. you could save some money by buying just 1 car from a pack, but not much. especially now that there is a new year sale unitl jan 18. ( https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/new-year-sale.3937/ ). you would still need the track packs. just the tracks without any cars would cost over 2000 vrps.

Was on the test server yesterday after the gearbox of the Dekon Monza went bang. Did a race with to other lads and his Ford GT was blisteringly fast again. I know i am not a very fast driver, but i sure hope this series isn't turning into a Ford GT cup.. Will stick with the Ruf for now, it is kind of nice  Smiley
