This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Hey, sorry for my bad start behavior, I don't really know what I was thinking Sad but I hope I paid my dues by going on the end of the field.

The race was a lot of fun, but I had some strange things going on, after around 25min the little red triangles in the map where moving around strangely and I couldn't see you anymore. The times screen was also showing strange times. Then was a thing for about 15 minutes and then I saw you all again for a few minutes, but this strange thing appeared periodically again and again. To be honest I don't really know the reason, some connection problems? Did I disappear for you? Did you also recognize any strange timings?

Don't really know what this means for the ranking, but I'd not be angry about any consequences because I really enjoyed the race Wink especially the parts where I saw you guys on the track laugh

But if you have some hints to help me avoiding these kinds of things, I'd really appreciate it!

Starting to go off the Ruf and as two others were in it i thought i'd try out my new fave, the Z4 GT3. Couldnt beleive i was almost a second down after the first split which is basically the first corner! Ended up some laps giving up then and waiting for the next lap having gotten depressed after the first sector!

Mucked up the first corner and ended up with a huge slowdown then couldnt get past SRW as his apex speed seem to be a bit different from mine at times!

enjoyed that race especially the second half of the lap where the track flows a bit better. Cuomo you disappeared from my view but were still showing on the timing screen for the last part of the race.
Had a go with the silhouettes we will be using for the summer series earlier on today, feel like a cross between a touring car and a GT. good fun to drive  (and the Canhard R51 sounds awesome too!).

Didn't notice anything strange with your connection Daniel, all looked good from where I was sitting. I've experienced some similar things with RRE but fortunately they are not regular occurrences. As for your start, you gave back the places so no problem there.

Mark, I watched some of your practice/quali laps (I really like the look of the Z4 on track) and I noticed you change down the gears more than I like to do which I always think slows and unsettles the car on corner entry. For instance, I take T1 in 3rd gear with most GT3 cars which allows me to carry more speed. If I get apex oversteer I stiffen the front slightly until I can control it.

Actually at the end Cuomo was gaining on me and i couldnt see him on the track, just on the track map. Was very disconcerting.

Yes T1, i tried a few times in 3rd but i guess never found the right line/ speed to make it work for me. Either i felt it lost me ground up to the first split or would try and carry a bit more speed into the corner and would loose the rear too much either from apex or out too wide on exit. I was having to change to 3rd on the exit straight away though more because theres not much traction  on the kurbs/ astroturf off the track!

With the Z4 i tend to have the rear a bit stiffer to compensate for the heavy, understeery front end!
