This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Minutes

Cars allowed: Aquila CR1
Track: Nurburgring Short
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above
(2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

No problem, I should be back in time but at worst it will mean a shorter official practice session if I'm delayed.

I'm around Thursday so can do the restart  thumbup1

This really works well, a great combo. Short track but plenty of corners and the never used enduro chicane at the end. This car is all about the corners, shame about the gutless engine! I bet the LMPs would be good Wink

Hard to get a decent lap, after 10mins best was a 1:31:5

Yes I prefer that chicane to the GP layout too. We'll probably get an update next week which will re-classify some of the LMP cars so they might get some action in the remaining endurance events.

Great racing again this evening....I'm getting far too old for all this excitement  laugh

Couldn't match the pace tonight but found myself in the lead early on as John received a slow down (first of a few that seemed a bit innocuous   Huh) and then had a right old battle trying to keep myself there.  Some great side by side racing there John  thumbup1

Thanks for sorting the server Pete  Cool

Matt, I haven't set the practice server for Thursday as I'm not sure if it mucks up the results. I can do it tomorrow night if needed.

Changing the server after the race has no effect on results. They are exported when the race finishes.
In fact I don't need to log on to the server to do the results  Grin as they are exported to a couple of places
one being my home ftp server. I am teaching in London for 4 days, "if"  I can get the right train I may be
back for Thursday's race. WOuld you be able to restart and then jump on the server at 19:45 in case
I am delayed?

That was really good fun but hard work. I was definitely a bit erratic at times, fell off a few times so sorry for that. Was trying a different driving view. Wasnt trying to be that aggressive SRW i just found i braked later than you!

Was having a good race with Apex but fell off but then managed to catch up with the guys ahead and had a good race with them for a while but ended up ahead and so tried to chase down Apex again who seemed to be struggling as well at times. Somehow got two white flag laps Huh shame it ended with Apex slowing on the last lap was going to be tight!
