This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 60 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from P2 Prototype class

Track: Laguna Seca
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: x2
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit-stops: Minimum 1 stop required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above
(2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

These events have now been changed to run the P2 Prototypes only for the remainder of this series.

Haven't quite decided what to do with the results of the previous rounds yet but if no-one objects I was thinking of making this series a non-championship/fun series meaning that the results won't become official stats.

Spanner and I was having some great racing in this series. It's too bad we can't continue with our fight.. P.S This is the only series I haven't gotten a disconnect on "as I am crossing my fingers" lol

Hope you can carry on in the P2s where you left off in the GT3s. Would be nice to do multiclass again next season but it really depends on interest and ultimately drivers on the grid.

You dont pick easy combos do you? This is going to be tough, Laguna is short, lots of aero corners and then theres the corkscrew!

Hey GT

Why don't we keep it multiclass till the end, then we can try and get Kai and Jan to join. Maybe we can get the grid a bit bigger, its only you and I atm racing these P2's. But then spanner and Aphex can continue there fight.

What do you think? Lets PM the fins..  Grin

Edit: I think Martin will be back also this weekend.. We hope..  Roll Eyes

If there is enough interest in continuing with multiclass I'm all for it.

I dont see its worth it tbh! I was faster than Apex! lol

But they are deadly, tried one of them out but the back end instantly breaks away. Need to see what the DP drives like, hopefully a bit nicer

DP seems easier around here but experimenting with different levels of TC helps to tame all of the cars. Looks like there are a few taking a shot at the leaderboard.....

Might be worth pasting a link to the leaderboard each time. Damn looked like you posted your time GT a few minutes after me!

Maybe we could do that in the race announcement in future? At present it seems like the leaderboards are disabled as I've since improved my time and it's not been registered. I think they're planning some update or something early next week so maybe that's why.

Hey Gents

Sorry about that, I had a really bad connection to the lobby, people where flying all around, in qualifying it was ok, but second lap GT was vanishing away and cars where all over the track. Sorry if I bumped someone, it was really out of my hands. I decided to leave as I was affraid of ruining other people's laps. I had a good qualifying lap. I think my race pace would have been ok

Well done GT on the series win
