Moderator's Report

SUMMARY

Robert Fleurke wins the race in a Brabham, completing a hattrick also setting Pole and Fastest Lap. Doni Yourth finishes second in a Ferrari, even when he forgot to complete the last lap. Attilio Artiglietti rounds out the podium in a Honda, after fighting with Clive Gardner most of the race, who was the last finisher in fourth, also in a Honda.

Another survival race, heartbreak for Gregory Taber, Jani Posta and Bob whitwell, who suffered from electrical problems at the same time.

Server replay time: 0h02m43s

On Lap 2, Dean follows Andreas on the backstraight; and appears to make a move on the inside entering the S-combinations before Goodyear. There is room on the inside, but Dean loses control and overcorrects into Andreas, who had to retire being stuck behind the armco. Dean was able to continue. In the aftermath David spins and collects Axel. No lack of care there, both could continue.

In his own words, Dean went in a bit hot and tried to avoid contact. Intended overtake or not, this has to be a Simple Ambitious Overtake. Andreas did nothing wrong and had to retire on Lap 2. To Dean his credit he reported the incident himself, setting an example for us all.

Congrats Rob, Doni, Attilio!

Screen freeze shortly after Axel fell behind. I could have used more BRM practice. No worries though Rob. At least I didn't take the Ferrari. And since I didn't install the patch I may only have myself to blame. I've raced here at least a few times and never discoed/screen freeze, but I've seen plenty others do so. Sad

I was getting into to it in qualifying. I was so engrossed I drove until time ran out without realizing it. I reached for a drink of water and my cup was empty. I went to refill it and I missed the start by a second. Just as I got the cursor to the green button, it disappeared. Sad Axel was unfortunate to start from the pits too but at least we had each other to race and we got on track at the back of the pack. So there was still plenty of fun to be had.

I hope your wife recovers quickly Doni, so both of you feel better.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the kind words, chaps.  Smiley

I neglected to mention that I had to ship her to hospital that afternoon but with her record of serious to the point of life-threatening blood clotting issues known, the staff fast-tracked her with tests and cleared her with some up-gunned medications.  We were back home within four hours of the issue commencing.

She's feeling better but I'm still very much monitoring the situation.  My two teen-aged boys DID suffer through my efforts at preparing dinner.  Poor buggers.  Wink
