I think this is on 60 fps / track rather than the drvc69.ini car number duplication fix. 5 freezes in 5 races now Sad . Track freezes are amplified by 60 fps.

Looking at the replay it seems our mass freeze happened just as Bastian was crossing start/finish line. So, most likely Bastian froze up and took 5 more with him. Next round of beers is on him!  Grin .

Tommie.

It can be anyone of the 6 drivers connection causing the mass disco, maybe someones lag became too big for the server Roll Eyes

Look what happened in this 1/1000 second

For the next 69x race (and others) I will try to reduce the size of the traffic by reducing the bandwith settings.
The replay files of 69X are ~50% bigger than all other mods!

Can someone more familiar with the minutiae explain this? I thought the rpy was pretty much just a record of the car positions, driver inputs and engine rpm, with timing/scoring tacked on as needed (per lap basis? dunno), the amounts of which would all be unaffected by whatever mod was running (the game extrapolates whatever else it needs to show the replay from that data).  Huh

And wouldn't reducing the BW setting would make things more laggy (not warpy, I know the difference), which is part of what brrr was trying to correct when he made the 60fps patch?

Just uploaded my times to GPLRank but my fastest time is only in the 1:28s?!  Umm...I assume I've uploaded the 'right' file, plax69?  Is this an indication that I had lots o lag?  I didn't really notice any warp.

I was a bit surprised to take pole but I think I was driving the fastest car!  I hadn't checked the times on GPLRank, but now I have it looks like few times have been posted for this track.  I generally struggle with set-up, but the default seemed pretty good, I just changed camber and a couple of gear ratios.

My race wasn't as good as qual and I struggled to keep it together, allowing Greg to clear off sharpish, least he's a team mate now.  Just before I was disco'd Greg seemed to have an issue or two which gave me a modicum of hope for about 2 secs then I had to turn my speakers off before the dogs started barking at the high pitched scream as the disco happened.

The disco surprised me given I've raced here a few times without issue...but not with this mod.

Cheers,

Bob.

Dean there seem much more factors included in a rpy, look what infos you can have from GPLRA ,
how else could you make a gearchange analyse of any driver for any lap with lots of extra infos and get his driving line.

69X has lots of cars in lots of liveries and it seems to use a special modified car model, it runs with 60fpsV1 only  Roll Eyes

Brr wanted us to set the BW to every 5 frames to get the same 12 x per sec as with 36fps @3x.

For the 69X I want to go back to every 5 frames what will decrease the server/client traffic -20%,
but it will increase the crashbox spikes in a corner, what will need a little more cautious driving in close battles Wink

69x and the GT mod use a different set of physics files. Nigel tried to eliminate the creeping on downhill starting grids with that, but it introduced the brake lock bug. It's not noticeable in the 69x though. For other mods we used a mix of new and old physics files to take advantage of the other improvements, but leaving out the brake lock bug. 60fpsV2 doesn't support the graphics options like those in the 69x and 66 mods have though.
