All but one driver complied with the Chassis selection rules for this round.

Server replay time: 0h00m01s

Cookie used the Brabham BT19 Repco at Rouen and also at Bremgarten. The rules on the championship page states that drivers will have to select a different chassis for each race and at least one from each group. Cookie stated that he only had the rule to take a car of each group in his mind

  • Cookie (Axel Cookie) — The driver selected the same chassis for two different races. — excluded

Season 29 Historic Trophy - Round 9 – Bremgarten

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

All races will be run at 60 frames per second – please use this patch 60fpsV2newmod.

Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score.

This race is for cars with 3 Litre engines.

Race List = IGOR
Server = UKGPL_8
IP address = look in iGOR
Race date = Tuesday 23-2-2016
Time = 21:00 UK time (21:00 GMT)

Replay will be here

Only reported incidents will be moderated, there is no Red Zone.

Driver lists and rules (please note the rules for the Historics are different this season) can be found on the championship standings page

Please Note: Drivers have to use at least 1 car from each of the groups (Group I, Group II and Group III on the championship standings page).  There are only two 2 litre races left so please make sure you use a chassis from each group.  For example Bastian has used two Group III cars but as yet none from Groups I or II. Francesco has used 2 from Group II but none from Group I. Doni has used 2 from Group I but none from Group II.  Please choose carefully, an illegal chassis choice will result in disqualification.

No you are OK, see this post

Having another good battle with Bastian, got a bit too enthusiastic and hit a wall in the tree lined section.  Wheel off, race over Sad

The scrapfest on Lap 1 caught me out and I think something important got bent on my Ferrari after one of the impacts.
The car was still running and was Ok in a straight line, but snap oversteer  in the corners proved too much and I think I almost took out Iestyn and Tris in the middle of the forest...sorry guys i hope that you could continue.

That practice was so worth it.

Not only do I lose a PB thanks to server reset, I encounter a stationary Tris, evade a heavy shunt but get off track onto the grass where I'm pretty much a passenger when I rejoin to collect an unfortunate Doni, ending both our races if not more on lap 1.

Yay Bremgarten, such a great track for online racing...

It is a tough track but one that favours the steady drivers.  We try to provide a varied test throughout the season with a mixture of tracks that test different aspects of a driver's ability.  This is the sort of track that drivers like David Rainier should do well, he rarely makes mistakes.  He was still circulating when I crashed out!

What a fantastic race it was! Too bad my engine exploded Cheesy Still I'm listed 4th which is great, but a P2 finish would have been better Smiley
Congrats Tristan and podium! Very well done Tim on three wheels in the last 4? laps Cheesy

My apologies Dean, Doni, Clive, Tris and whoever else got caught in the melee. Tris did something weird going down the hill. I couldn't react fast enough. I gave him a bump setting off the crapstorm. I shouldn't have been so close but I expected he'd have the pedal to the floor.

Iestyn confused me later. By that time I was so out of sync I forgot to slow soon enough for the next turn. Sad

I noticed this track could use a lot better placings for the flagmen. You did have skidmarks to warn you Dean. I learned that lesson at Monaco.

Thanks !

I was very slow and very cautious during all the race ...except during the 3 last laps (where I was just a little bit faster but no more cautious). There were only 3 cars on the track (Tristan, Tim and me) and I saw Tim struggling with a 3-wheels car !

If there was one more lap (or if Tristan didn't overlap me a 2nd time during the last lap), I could have finished 2nd. But Tim deserved, 10 times more than me, to finish 2nd.
