Nappe1 is organising a new GTL championship based on the 1965 European Touring Car season. All SROUK GTL drivers are welcome to take part. All events are on Wednesday evenings & are scheduled to take place around the same date as the original real races took place. This means that the first race is in a couple of weeks time, but the next race won't be until June. See here for details: http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=358837Hope to see some of you there.

If anyone has problems with the Cortina GT crashing the game, this is what you need to do:
1/ Set player car detail to 'high' or 'full' in Video options.
2/ Tick high detail wheels in Advanced options.
Should work fine then.

Still sick, but at least the fever is gone - so I hope it'll work for 12 laps at Goodwood.

Well,.....................I tried,..........................and I tried...........................and I tried again,......................and again..........and again to join in the fun. but each time GTL crashed I changed the settings for the cars to Full, and wheel detail to max, as mentioned on the forum, but no joy. I tried joining with different cars from the Fiat Abarth to the Ford Falcon......without success. I found that I could not even run these cars offline?? suggestions on a postcard without sharp corners to:- Padded cell 13, The Simracers Recovery Home for the Terminally Addicted Goodwood Sussex UK

Sounds like an installation problem Clive. If I remember correctly the download contains a main file called 'Gamedata'. You need to put that main file directly into the GTL install you are using & let it overwrite the existing files (it actually won't overwrite anything, just add the new car files). All the relevant car files will automatically go in the right place. If that doesn't work, I'm stumped!
PS: If it still doesn't work, try removing the Cortina GT & try again.

I tried to install the pack in with my GC--GTC65 mod cars and it crashed all the time even with the video to full on everything. Solved the problem by using a new clean Gamedata, no problems now. My guess is that some mod cars are not compatable. The suspect to me may be the GTC Jag-Th or maybe the 66 Cortina that they use.

After a long wait it is time for the 2nd event of this series. This one is a hillclimb, Col de la Broue, it is quite long & will probably be impossible to fully learn in a week, so should be quite a challenge! Full details here: http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1909261&postcount=81Please note that there is an update to the car pack that you will need to install before this event.

Case of remembering the places where an off is deadly!
