Guess I should probably play with some setups - the car was stock last time round!

Sorry MJ, missed your post. I have changed the date in LM2 for this event to be the 16th, but I don't know how to edit or update the "calender"

The box said "Windows 2000 server or better" So I installed Solaris

Thanks Matt, I managed to change the dates of the rest of the rounds but couldn't find this one to edit in Lm2.

Job done on praccy, new pb  Smiley. Might want to lower your turbo boost when the tyres go off later in the race  Wink

Ps, a steam update today knocked out my controllers in AC and I had to re-calibrate them all this eve. Worth checking yours are okay before the event. (I'm on win10)

How do you adjust turbo boost on the fly during the race? I seem to recall when I've tried turbo cars before that I could only adjust boost with the number keys on the keyboard - but I can't reach my keyboard when driving. Can this be mapped to a wheel button?

I tried mapping the boost buttons for the Grp C race but it didn't work - that might be me doing it wrong though...

How do I know I've installed PLP correctly BTW. The folder is where it says it should be but I didn't notice any text from my end while on the server last week?

Make sure you select the app in the main menu where you normally select apps, then activate it while in the car on the right hand side of the screen.

Top man Pete  Smiley

Frex, not sure if boost can be mapped to a wheel button, should be. i use the keyboard numbers but haven't felt the need to reduce/alter boost yet but prob will later in the race to stay on track!

Don't laugh but I got wifey to dial in the boost as I was going round. Tricky even doing that as braking points are all to cock but I did knock 1.5s off my pb. It's even more tricky trying to alter yourself but it can be done - but during a race?Huh Don't think i'll be altering it.

Sorry about turning up. At the start I don't think either Mark or I knew each other were there and collided sending us into T1 kitty litter. After that it was just trying to drive the stupid thing. Rear ended Jonzo due to braking too late (which seemed to happen at every corner) and basically just couldn't drive the thing for the whole race. Spent a couple of laps in pits fiddling with apps and then tried again but it was just as hopeless.

The only other car as bad as that one that I've driven is La Ferrari. The braking distances are just stupid for a car that goes 200mph. Braking at the 300 yard board gives you no scope to brake a few meters late as the car just wont stop whatever you do.

I won't be joining you again for this series as clearly this car is not for me.

Bring back the trucks.

Hmm, that didn't go quite to plan  Sad

At race start I made a decent get away, saw the two attacking cars behind drop back a bit and thought T1 was mine, moved over to normal line only to feel sudden impact of sharks Lambo on the outside there. He must have been completely in my blind spot angle wise as wasn't showing in any mirror. We both span off and dropped to the back. Sorry.
Few laps later re-caught Postal but as we were braking for the right hander downhill I got an almight whack up the jacksy by shark that threw me hard into the barriers with front and rear damage  :'( I nearly quit there and then as was now 30 seconds behind the pack after only 3 laps with a damaged car.
Soldiered on and then had a hey presto moment at about lap 10 when I realised the car wasn't on anywhere near full boost and obviously hadn't been in any of my testing  Hit with a wet fish I had stupidly assumed the car was already on 100% turbo out of the box...but it wasn't, it was more like 60-70%  Embarrassed what a dumb-ass!. Now I know why some of you were flying off the track so much.  The car was pretty much undriveable with 90 or 100% other than down the main straight. I found best to do was engage 90% on the straight then drop to 70 by the braking zone. Fiddly but do-able.
These cars don't need to run at full boost, use it as an overtaking boost but perfectly fast enough on 70% for 90% of a track, honestly its a different car.

Anyway, carried on running and finished 4th surprisingly as overtook postal and Chris got his fuel wrong due to too much fast and furious boosting  Grin

Shame the turnout was low at 7 cars  :'( thought these would be more popular. Hope for more drivers at Aosta, run at stock boost, far more enjoyable driving experience. Save the show ponies for a long straight.  Smiley
