very unsatifying. Bob was moving into me in at the start. upside down.
BTW: did I make sth wrong. I remeber last times at the ring waiting for others finishing their laps on Qualifying but today it seemed I was the only one ?

Congrats Rob and Sam! That was nice recovery by Rob. The 15 seconds he spotted me after lap 1 was just enough to hold the lead. One more lap and he may have found a way around me. It's nice to get some very good luck. It's been somewhat poor lately. After a terrible qualifying Andreas was kind enough to give me P4 after the start. Then I was a little too hot into T1 but I didn't worry much. I thought I could easily scrub off enough speed by turning in late and running wide. Unfortunately Rob ran wide too. I couldn't get the car to move left any further and was worried there wasn't more room to my left, but somehow I kept off Rob. Later, there was no way I could keep up with Pelle or Iestyn had they not wrecked. I was able to stay somewhat close ,but once Iestyn wrecked, Pelle was pulling away from me very quickly. The killer tree got him again. I clearly saw his wrecked car and changed lines but at the last moment I didn't think I had moved far enough left to miss him. I'm not sure whether I missed him or his car disappeared just as I would have clipped it. I got sideways and up on the banking but somehow I managed to keep from spinning. That mistake worried me that it was just enough to let Rob catch me before the end. Plus I lost my composure for a bit after that near miss. With a 5 second gap and 2 laps to go, I thought I could win if I could run 8:07s the last two laps. I averaged about 8:07.12 on those two laps. Just enough. I thought about driving the Honda. Late yesterday I decided I'd make it easier on myself and drive the Cooper. I should have practiced a little with the Cooper. I thought I could easily get it together during qualifying. That didn't work but I managed to do it for the race. I took it a little easy the first two laps but once I could see that Rob might catch me, I had to push it a bit to the end. I had just the right balance between trying to go faster but not too fast. It took green in every sector on lap 6 to keep Rob off of me. That was an awesome pace by Rob. At my absolute best, I have my doubts I could have stayed within a second each lap of your pace from lap 2-6. I hope Joe would be happy there's some newer blood to help increase the number of drivers on the grid. His memorial event is now a little special to me too. Thanks Rob, Pelle, Iestyn, and Andreas. I couldn't have won without your help. I didn't expect any better than a solid 4th and that was in doubt after qualifying. Take care guys. I appreciate you letting me race with you.

Did one timed lap in quali, that was good enough for Pole, since Iestyn set his lap straight out of the pits.
Braked too late after the start and went off hitting the fence. Hope it didn't cause too much problems for the cars behind. It was just the exhausts blocking my mirror view and then missed my marker for the start. Car felt a bit sluggish in the left turns after that, but still good pushable under control.
Got stuck behind Andreas who refused to yield (as he is entitled to of course), until he made a mistake spinning towards Schwalbenschwanz, on Lap 1. Just got by, and started to reel in Axel who kindly let me by a lap later. Pelle and Iestyn crashed out, and was convinced I could get back to Greg. But he drove fantastic and flawless the last two laps, and I never closed the gap (completely).
Good win Greg, well deserved, and well done to Sam for podium. Also well done finishers, commiserations to the non-finishers...

It was great to be back on track. But I had to leave early plus I expected more patience from the drivers on a pro event at a track like this, not to mention it was a memorial race... Grats Greg, you are a true ringmaster Well done Robert

I am neither fast or consistent enough to compete in a 67 car at the Ring. Idea was to stay out of trouble & get to the finish line. Also gave me a chance to try out the Ferrari which I haven't really driven much. Was pleased to get a 8.33 lap but bent the steering on the next lap.

Sorry if you feel hard done by Marco but for me I did nothing wrong. Everyone slowed including me. Forgive and forget I say. Great turnout again.

I think it was a domino-effect first triggered by me, cars checking up, and later Bastian and Bob touched side by side, which meant cars had to lift instead of accelerating out of the Sudkehre...it was unfortunate, but Ronnie showed no lack of care to me.
Maybe I was too agressive joining back. I tried to take care though...

That was good fun last night You've got to laugh at the times for Sam and my Honda's - finished 0.2 seconds apart and fastest laps within 0.12 seconds I got some bad luck at the start due a bit of bunching in the field, this allowed Sam to get inside me at the Sudkehre (I nearly took myself out as I didn't know he was there) and Dean got a run on me up to Nordkehre too (but was nice enough to let me back through without too much of a fight approaching Adenau). I haven't seen who lost it yet but on the approach to Karrusell Johny-o span across the track and I managed to pick the wrong side to dive to, luckily we both continued although I lost several more places and a load of time despite a rather snazzy J-turn . Eventually I caught Sam again and passed him on the penultimate lap only to wash out under braking on the final land and smack the bridge a few turns before Adenau - letting him back past again. Although I was able to catch back up fairly easily he didn't make any real mistakes and I ran out of time before I could pass again - well driven Sam, that's the second time in about a month Congrats to Greg and Rob on the other podium seats and of course to everyone else who made it to the flag here!

Bastian, it wasn't intentional, I got too much wheelspin off the line and lurched right across the track. Wasn't expecting it....it can happen, but sorry for not holding on to it better. By the way, do recall pushing me off the track here in the 65s the other day? It could have been warp though. Not sure who it was I was trying to overtake out of turn two but I got squeezed resulting in the other car exploding. I thought you'd seen me. A lap or two later I got a swapper on through the compression and whacked the hell out of that tree. Surprisingly my car survived but was very heavily damaged and only went another mile or two. Bob

I agree Tim, excellent fun. I never really cracked driving the Honda during the last memorial trophy so thought I'd use it again. Although lacking in pace in my hands at least, I managed to keep the car on the black stuff for the most part which resulted in a lucky podium given the retirements of Iestyn, Pelle and Axle ahead of me. Great battles through the field though to get to that position . I did think you were the quicker driver this round Tim but lady luck favoured me this time round. Congrats to Greg and Rob for terrific pace up front.

I know I had a contact in the esses of the 65er Race, didn't have time to look at it yet. Apologies if it was my fault. Best Regards, Bastian

Sad to see I've missed this race, but looks like a full field anyway :-) Where do I sign up, is there a list of dates/races, I can't seem to find it?
Sick Cooper pace up front guys :-O
