Couldn't hang on to Tim after making a few little mistakes, and then found out late race I didn't have enough fuel. Tried to manage it last 4 laps, but had to settle for P4 losing too much time...

Grats Tim, good race by Doni and Dean as well Wink

LOL  I was about to apologise to you Axel!!

At the start I got away quickly and found myself alongside you into T1, but there was another car outside of me and 3 wide in T1 is NEVER a good idea. I "felt" the pressure from the outside car and thought that I had squeezed you a bit too much.

The second incident I felt that I was also at fault because I just did not see you coming up the inside  Undecided

Either way it was not a good race for me, my mind was on other things in Real Life so I quit rather than cause any more probs.

Grats to Tim, Doni!!!! and Dean for the podium.

Great to see such full grids for Joe Shaw  thumbup1

Good fun again in the BT7. Grats to the podium and everyone who turned out. Apologies if I'm wrong but was that you who got off the line like a three legged carthorse Rob? I assume you had a tall first gear or simply missed the flag dropping? See you all at the next one.

No I timed the start well, but checked up for Tim, and then lost rpm's/bogged down a bit...

A Honda 1-2!  When was the last time you saw that?  Most likely, never.

Grats on Tim for a fine win.  Great pace and consistency.  Full marks.

The gods were smiling on me for a P2 placing as I quite thoroughly did not deserve or earn it.  I was not aware of the Lap01, T1 carnage that put so many contenders well back.  It was all just out of my view on my right.  Only after a couple of corners did I realize that something must have happened as all I could see in my mirrors was Rocket following closely in his BT7 and apparently, nobody else.  Dear me...  I recall distinctly the last time we ran GP65's here that there was a startline muddle that shunted several cars, mine included, iirc.  At least this time, we got a couple of hundred metres further on.

Hard luck indeed for Robert who had to surrender P2 on the last lap thanks to being all of a litre shy on fuel.  Admirable pace and accuracy til the shortfall.

I feel genuinely sorry for Dean as clearly, he had the goods on me for position right up to the flag.  Sure, a couple of minor gaffes robbed him and a P3 finish is not be dismissed but it so easily could have and should have been P2.  His pace mid-race was fastest of all and only a blitz lap from Tim denied Dean the FTD.  I should say, too, that after he had a minor spin in the hairpin and handed me the place, I started to wilt.  Up til then, I was charging along having a fine run with minimal errors and gassing it hard.  After actually getting ahead of the flying Ferrari, my pace started to fade as fatigue started to set in.  With a couple of laps to go, Dean was well-placed to easily rip by on the back straight but a fraction too much throttle had the red car loop and lose enough time to be crucial in the end.  I was not going to fight bitterly to the end so it was indeed, a gift.  Further, to see Robert cruising to save fuel and having to back way, way off to make it home was just icing on the cake.

While not posted in the Joe Show Memorial threads, replays are available at...
