UKGPL FUNRACE CanAm66 - Albi - May 6 For this round we go to France, to be exact to the small town of Albi in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Racing first started on the Circuit des Planques in 1933, the pits and startline being on a short straight before the road twisted down into St.Antoine. At St.Juery the cars had to contend with an extreme hairpin bend, followed by a railway level crossing. The 5.531 mile circuit was shortened in 1951 to 1.859 miles, before being closed in 1955 following the Le Mans disaster. Racing resumed at the nearby Aerodrome in 1959 which is the circuit we now know as Albi. The Chicane du Sequestre was introduced in 1988 but we will be using the original layout as raced in 1967. Free car choice and no restrictions, but try to drive like gentlemen and let's all have fun! Sorry Doni. My first time out in this mod and I was totally taken by surprise by the strength of the slipstream. My fault.
Great mod but once again the standard mirror, on my car at least, was next to useless. Can I use the virtual mirrors that are available for the GT mod and /or ones specific for this mod?

Ronnie, see here: http://www.grandprixlegends.co.nf/tvo/ca66/ca66_virt_mirr.htmlWoohoo, a win! I was very surprised to see my pace was decent enough to compete for the win. I got the Lola set up sweet though. My biggest opponent during the race was a big spider which suddenly ran across my screen! I squashed it with a piece of paper a couple of laps later when I was driving down the straight . I didn't know Mark was still close, thankfully so because otherwise I'd have had way more stress trying to get rid of that spider . Grats Mark, Robert and all finishers! Tommie. P.S. Ronnie was driving the McL-Elva Mk 2 Ford and not the Chevy one as described in the results .

P.S. Ronnie was driving the McL-Elva Mk 2 Ford and not the Chevy one as described in the results . I know, but there is only a McLaren - Elva Mk2 in the SROU database yet. I have to pm Gizmo to make a split Chevy/Ford

NP, Ray. Was fun while it lasted. At least I got to sit down to dinner on time for a change. Nice drive, Tommie!

Congrats Tom, you were like on another level, I couldn't keep up. Fairly uneventful race for me, car is a bit better under braking but still unsteady. Server lost track of me after a few laps but i see the results are correct - cheers!
