I managed 2'22'8 with softs and low fuel, not sure what that would drop to with meds/hards with full race fuel.

Im hoping to get away from work at lunch and get some practice in before tonight.. Ive done nothing! Lol

Blinking heck Chris  Shocked expect that to be 24/25's with meds.  What gear ratio are you running? I can't decide if shorter gears or longer is better here, letting the torque do the work. Problem is the longer the ratio the more understeer and it already has plenty of u/s.

2:29 here - probably got another 2 secs at most to find. That's with Meds and they were pretty shot after 5 laps Sad

New pb's in every session and a race win  Smiley was quite happy with that last night. I only had one scrappy lap and that's when Chris caught me as I started mirror watching! Otherwise kept it smooth and steady.

Luckily for me but sadly for him, Chris binned it just after he took the lead. I then had a comfortable lead again to manage my tyres and even nurse them on last two laps when severely worn.

Thanks to those that attended, really don't get why more don't want to drive such a great combination but guess it's just symbolic of how few racers attend here anymore.  Undecided

My biggest problem with these cars is how unforgiving they are. One small mistake, which is easy when you are talent restricted, results in tyres that have over heated and don't cool down particularly quickly. I can't push ever with these because at some point my talent runs out and the penalty far far out does any gain I got for pushing. To me this is not racing, it's just survival. Even the alien like Chris seemed to fall off repeatedly once he'd cooked the tyres to start with last night.

I forgot to put my rear wing back on for the race and at the start it was fine, but as soon as the tyres started to wear it slipped, and then they got hot reducing the grip further.. Until eventually a slide through the long left and i decided to pit.. Was testing softs earlier on and after 3 laps they were still at 100% so i thought they had to last the 6 remaining laps,. Got to lap 3 and then all of a sudden.. 99%, 98%, 98.5% sliding all over until eventually... Slid around again.. It was at that moment expletives were shouted and i rage quit..

I love this car so mich but the tyres need lots of work, both on the drop off rate and the grip level when not at optimum levels.. I spoke to aris and we are going to go online together so i can show him whats going on.

I shall return for the f40.

Do understand Pete, must admit driving them gives me a similar feel to the Gt40's in P&g as I've said before. You don't feel like you can 'race' with it, more like focus on keeping it steady and last the distance at fastest but safest way. Yet when you watch these cars in any BPR footage they are far more nimble and aggressively attacking kerbs etc. As Chris alluded to, I think there is something amiss with them in AC. They feel heavy and clumsy to me in their handling rather than a pointy race car.

The fezza f40's were a revelation after the setup tweaks offered at Brands so hopefully they will be good fun at Donington  Smiley
