Haven't driven Misano for so long I simply didn't know the track at all. Had no practice at all and my pc wouldn't boot so spent most of practice without a single lap. Then it was a total crash course on driving the track. Managed to qualify 10th despite still learning the track but needed a wee and by the time I got back I was too late to grid. Started in pits and waited and waited for it to le me go but everybody streamed by and it still wouldn't let me go. Went up down gears trying to move but eventually when it let me go I was in reverse! Ended up about 25-30 seconds behind before I had left the pits.

Rest of race was actually fun tbh learning track catching people up and eventually getting 8th for my efforts. Maybe could have been battling for a place inside top 5 had I not had a very full bladder. Can we have at least 2 min session change times for next race?

Oh well. Track layout was interesting but version felt half finished and very poor textures for it looked quite sparse too.

Seems my bad nsfw, I did all the hard work providing links and post updates but must have forgot to change it in the drivers file  Undecided thought I had. Will sort for next week, sorry.

A half spin early on dropped me down the order and proceeded to have an excellent battle with Bob and Steve before winding up 11th. Not sure why the chart is showing I completed 20 laps? I'm certain I did 21, although I did return to the pits just after the start-finish straight, if that had anything to do with it.

Bad news Sam, the pit entrance is 'before' the s/f line  Grin not quite sure how you entered the pits after the line  Undecided the race auto ends for you as you cross the line at full race distance.

Best bet is to either ask other McLaren drivers on here for their setup or grab some from race department or setup market.

I could have worded that sentence a bit better  Roll Eyes. I hit escape after I crossed the s/f line to return to the pits rather than finishing the slow down lap. Does this imply I need to finish the cool down lap once I've finished the race to keep my position? Very odd.

Looks there where more drivers not hitting their previous times on race day. I was happy with the race pace in the Bentley though and had made a decent start. Then it went downhill for me.

My race was hampered by the minimal specs of my PC and having 20+ cars to render for my poor CPU. The fact i left my window closed to avoid the mosquito's, didn't help either... After 4 or 5 laps it was running hot already. The race was very jittery for me and i just could not be smooth, altough there seemed no dip in fps. Not sure what is the cause, but i will turn down the graphics for Brands and see if it improves.

Congrats on the win nfsw55. Great pace.

Sam you must have still had another lap to do? The race will auto end (screen fades to black) when you cross the finish line. No need to hit escape or anything. It returns you to the pits and timing screen.
Not sure if you were on lead lap or had been lapped?

The game is brain dead when it comes to end of race. In the real world the leader takes the chequed flag and so does everyone else when they next pass the finish line. If you a lap down you will do one less race than the winner. In AC you finish the race after you've completed the race distance, i.e. every scheduled lap. This is wrong but how it works. Our league importer didn't like the race export last night so we've not got the official results yet. Dave's importer may well fix this anomaly.

Ah, that explains it. Yes I was a lap down. I assumed you just hit escape like you did on the old SimBin titles. No worries, I'll try and not get lapped next time. That'll solve the problem  Wink.

LOL - don't do that. I was last car on the lead lap I think. Don't need to lose another place

AC generates the result once the leader crosses the line and then once everyone else then crosses the line. If you watch the text chat it does announce the race has ended when you cross the line after the leader does. If you are lapped then what ever you do on that 'extra' lap is irrelevant as the results are already created. It is something I've fallen foul of elsewhere.
