This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "Silhouette Series" class

Track: Suzuka East Course
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Finding these quite difficult with my old setups, car seems too stiff to cope with the tight corners here. Tried to soften it a bit to help but not sure how to tackle the last corner though the cut through. Seem to end up driving off as it wouldnt turn!

Had originally thought i'd reinstall windows this weekend but not sure yet even though its sat evening! lol Not sure i want to take the plunge and find i've missed something. I think i can just copy my steam folder back once i've reinstalled W10. Did lose a savegame pooint from  Wolfenstein last time and couldnt find a way of getting back to the point.

Not my favorite layout, but will try and be fast as I can, Hoping for a big turn out, but I think this will be a close race

Tough race, I had to pit, the left front was finished from all the heavy load right handers, I left my stop to late. But fantastic trying to close the gap in the last few laps. See you all next week. Well done Eck and GT, well done all

I lucked into that...

When Ant pitted, I noticed my front left tyre was orange and blinking. All the others were yellow and not too far, from the same wear. I slowed and prepared to lose positions, Tudor and Ant proceeded to get slow downs and I breathed a little easier.

The front left hung on, luckily.

Grats all, was a great race. Thank you for the opporchancity.

Managed to just sort the PC out in time but messed up the TS install so wasn't on, sorry.

Couldn't quite understand how I was over a second down in the first sector but lost very little in the last. Kept struggling for car setup until the end when a random change got it working better. but still wasn't happy qualifying so far back.

The race gave me another hint something wasn't right when every breezed past me down the straight. Was having a hard time convincing myself to stay! It wasnt till half way through that it occurred to me that I should have actually calibrated the pedals before using them for the first time! And behold... I had 90% throttle travel lol. Idiot!

Tough race. Stayed in touch with Ant for a few laps but then overdid it into T1. Thought I'd lost enough time running around the outside but was then also hit by a long slow down penalty as I rejoined Roll Eyes  With Ant and Eck now 10 seconds up the road and with a gap behind I had a lonely race to the end.

A race length of 30 minutes would have probably been a better choice for these cars given the tyre wear but that extra 10 minutes does seem to spice things up a bit  Wink

Well done Eck and bad luck Ant.

I did wonder why you were so slow  Cheesy

Again I am wondering if I was lagging or even plain invisible here, as someone came past me on the warm-up lap like I just wasn't there, and then I got hit from behind and pushed off track at the last corner before the race had started!

Caught up to a couple of cars, but some minor contact as I went alongside saw me spear off track again. At that point I thought it better to retire, and apologies if I was causing problems. Congrats podium.

Had a look at my replay and although I can see you it does seem that others probably cannot. Maybe SRW and Spanner could check their replays if they have them.

No worries, but yes that is weird. I have a fast and stable Ethernet connection, so I am guessing that is a bug if I am visible on the replay, but was not during the race itself.
