This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR2" class

Track: Spa Francorchamps GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Hopefully this can get me enthusiastic about RR again :'(

Must admit simracing has been taking a bit of a backseat for me lately as I've been too busy with work and other things. The summer series was always going to be hit/miss but hopefully enthusiasm will return for next week with the start of a new series taking us up to the year end.

Sorry Oscar.

This has been a series to forget, with only one race finish. Think its safe to say, I've got the Cadillac out of my system. Onto the next series, where hopefully, the midfield will let me rejoin their ranks...

Grats to the winners and finishers.

Good racing, John. Forced my pass a bit, so I think you deserved a medal.  Smiley
Good fun, hope we can get together more now that the summer is over.  Cool

that was an exciting race, very close. Sorry Larry for hitting you on the penultimate lap. I saw you run wide before the last straight and was catching you up into the final chicane. The game said last lap at the top of the screen so I tried a late braking pass, when I realised I was not going to make it I tried moving over on to the inside kerb to miss you but it didn't work.

Hey Gents, sorry for the formation lap trouble, drank my coldrink and a min spin, i will accept disqualification if need be, I was uncertain if I could join again.

Great race, Made a big mistake but had some time in hand, lost concentration.

Anyway. I will see If I join the next series, because I will further more loose a hour to GB soon. Anyway lets see

Hard to believe after the first lap or so we are all season racers lol. Though I probably should hold my hand up. Having got used to the pretty awful starts, and that Ant tends to go straight out of the final corner rather than waiting for the line I decided to assume the same and went for it but caught Oscar before the line so had to brake which probably caused the Larry to get caught out into the first corner? Luckily I saw him coming so didn't turn in.

It did all get a bit too aggressive at times, seeing both Corvettes ganging up on Oscar I did feel sorry ofr you!

Were you all sandbagging in the practise session? I ended up a few places back from my practise position, not sure where all your extra speed had come from.

Good to see the turn out. Wish i'd driven the BMW before, oh well, I take it that's it for the GT2's? They are definitely harder to drive than the GT3s.

Oh no it isn't. Check out Mid-Ohio in the forthcoming Masters series. There may be more but I couldn't be bothered to look  angel

The Masters Series which starts next week features 15 races with the GTR3s, the GTR2s and the Silhouettes classes each having 5 events. There's no restriction on car choice.
