Definately 906 tonight. Unlike GTC65 where I haven't got a clue what car to take, there is only one realistic choice of car for me in GTC-TC-76.

Finally managed to tame the Pantera, will be either that or my trusty 906.

Damn, got tapped on S/F str8 lap 2 or 3, spun me round and into the wall, car just didnt handle after that and had to retire before I became to much of a menace.

Nice but uneventfull race for me. After the rolling start outlap I was basicly on my own and was just doing laps. the outlap was a bit strange - I was trying to go around 90 kp/h , but the car behind me was going slower and slower, so all got a bit strange and I braked a bit. Anyhow by the starting line I tried to get people to close up, but nothing happened, so I was off on the starting line.
I was doing my laps, trying to do best lap in each of them, but than got my first cut track, when I was up by 0.5 sec at the second split. Tried again after that, but again got a cut track - I was having a too loose line. So slowed down a bit and than was starting to get cought - picked my pace up, but not onto the maximum pace - avoiding the possibillity of getting a cut track and stop/go. Was doing fine, till I looked behind me on the straight and saw that I was smoking - I knew that this ment troubles. And sure enough my engine sized locking my rears coming into the hairpin. All was full of smoke and luckily Shark was able to  get past without problems. Was completly my fault as I had my rew limmiter at max and the shortest gearing - was great in qualy, but not good for a longish race.
Still love my Vette - I am quite pleased with getting the pole position and the time itself as well - was a last lap do or die action and it worked out. Too bad that qualy is not being saved - would have loved to have a replay of that lap.

Had quite a good race. Qualifed with a big improvement on my PB down to 1:51.581 (it's all about putting the laps in) 4th on the grid. Pero with a stunner in the last minute of qualifying snatched pole and Locutus and Leuven just ahead of me.

Followed Locutus and Leuven for a few laps with EdamSpeed in close attention behind me. Locutus then appeared to lose the Pantera just after the final corner with a big tank slapper and unfortunately Leuven got collected by his wild Italian beast. Did Leuven just tap you? Didn't look like it from behind, but not the best position to see, guess replay can tell. Anyway, this put me into 2nd but Pero had built up about 5 seconds on me.

For 3/4 of the race was then holding the gap to Pero but with EdamSpeed all over my gear box. Pero was doing his utmost to lay down a smoke screen infront of me making it really difficult to see the turn in points for some corners, especially the fast chicane near the end of the lap. Clever tactics.  Wink Tongue Grin EdamSpeed mysteriously vanished into the pits with about 5 laps to go (apparently stop go for course cutting?) and left me to try to chase down Pero on my own. Was gaining a bit in the final stages, but he had it in the bag I think, certainly would have been very hard to pass the Vette if I had caught him. Bad luck for Pero as his engine let go in a big way down the main straight, huge plumes of smoke coming out the back. Couldn't see a thing when that happened, had no idea where you were in that cloud, luckily already off circuit for me.  Cool Grin

Would have been nice to get more people as it was a bit scarce for cars especially with a GP track again. I may change Fridays to a smaller circuit to help assuming the field is smallish again. Dijon GP perhaps?

Dunno how I got third - didn't deserve it and basically didn't see a soul after the first few laps. Briefly managed to hold off a 906 for long enough to settle into a rhythm, then held Martin up for a lap or two until he slipped past and eeked out a gap, Tyres went into meltdown in the last 5 or so laps and my wrists weren't faring much better. Undecided

First GTL-race in weeks and it was so boring i'm tempted to put it away again ;-)

Was directly behind Shark and Edam for the first 3 laps, then forgot to brake for T2, lost 10 seconds and 2 positions, and while i could get past Dave and the Porsche that was following him i had no hopes of catching up with the leaders again. Thus i cruised to the line and a completly undeserved 2nd place :-)

Was a TPG league race as well tonight. Which for me meant I wasn't gonna attend this 1 (didn't even know about it tbh Smiley). Maybe that's partly the reason there weren't a lot of peeps?

Cool
