Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

What happened to you?, Tudor.

That was an amazing race, between three of us, nearly all the way. I've reason to believe, some fluke?, gifted me the win.

Grats Pete, Tudor and all.

Was two races in one. Frex Tony and myself were trading paint, seeing who could fall off most
was the usual tight racing. These things are great fun.  Grin

I run a DFGT which has no clutch so I have to use autoclutch in these cars. Unfortunately this makes the gear changes so slow that I lose time every time I shift. Because of this I usually run no clutch for quali and just lift when I'm changing up (as I would if I had a clutch) and then switch autoclutch back on for the race.

All good except I forgot to switch  Roll Eyes I was having to be careful on my downshifts but even then the gearbox started rattling after about 15 minutes and eventually I was stuck in 3rd unable to change up or down for the last 10 minutes. I really ought to get some decent simracing kit  Embarrassed

Anyway, was good fun and close as always in these cars.

Sounds like you guys had fun. I hope you'll keep posting this type of racing-event Matt. Late August or early September I'm back in CPH and I'll be looking forward to some virtual racing.

I'm really enjoying racing these. I turned up last night in my usual state of preparedness, i.e. none, and my 1st flying lap was a 1:53. For the next 15 mins I couldn't get within half a second of that. Qually started equally badly but the team rebuild my wrecked steed in a tad under 10 secs Wink and I was back out again. They must have done a proper job this time as I was consistently quicker than the earlier 1:53 and bagged 3rd on the grid. I never had a run on either Eck or GT in the race but had lots of fun just hanging on to their shirt tales. Shame for GT it ended as it did but another really enjoyable race.

Indeed.

Struggled to stay in touch with the leading trio, and then had a half-spin into the infield with the added insult of a slow-down penalty.. But that just dropped me into the middle of Tony and Matt and the rest of the race was just pure fun! Thanks chaps, and congrats podium.

I was totally knackered after that never ending half hour. Practise and qualy showed that my overall pace had improved since the last time we raced these Mars bars, but that I was still over 1.5 secs behind the next quickest. As the race began I thought I would do a few laps then quit out. But due to me beating Matt of the line and later on catching up with a speed penalised Frex I was happily involved in some actual racing. Almost managed to keep both drivers at bay but that sneaky Matt caught me off-guard on the penultimate lap, the rotter, and passed me. Great fun and really pleased that I didn't feel the need to leave early doors.
Paul Ricard 2A short looks like a good track for these  Wink

LOL, and you gave me a hard time with Paul Ricard!  Roll Eyes
Not an obvious track for these things...

I am doing a small hillclimb on Sunday, (Scamonden Dam) and there's a guy who
has 3 of these will be competing in one of them. It never wins it's class as it is not as fast as modern
machinery, but I will take some pics of whichever he brings.  Grin

Moscow Ring short looks promising but there's a cut bug at one of the turns  taz

had a run round Ricard and the long straight doesn't go with the little engines for me.

I would have to agree. Also I found the track featureless and a bit dull.

for these I like some up and down. As Murray Walker once said "This is an interesting circuit, because it has inclines. And not just up, but down as well."
