I'd love to run some simple format GTL races, say one a month, to be held on a Tuesday night. If we receive enough positive response I'll move this on.

Interested yes, but Tuesday is the worst night for me. I play Badminton Tuesday evenings (when I'm not hindered by Tennis Elbow or any other problems..), so depending on start time, it might be impossible for me to make it in time.

Cheers,

That's fine Erling and exactly why I introduced this poll. I'm just testing the water ATM. I'm specifying Tuesday nights as that's the only night I can do and it doesn't clash with any other of our series.

An idea of a preferred start time would be useful.  Wink

Normally I should be home around 20:00 CET and about to grab some dinner, so in principle I should be able to make it with our normal start time.  If I'm delayed however, things would tend to get pressed.  If you could set qual start to 20:30 UK time (21:30 CET), I'd expect to make it most times.

One other problem though, would be that I'd have no time to practice between our regular Monday race, and the special Tuesday event, unless I go straight to practice right after Monday's race, which could be a bit much in one evening.  I'd try to find a way to make it work though, if this becomes a reality.

Cheers,
Erling

I would try to use familiar tracks or very easy to learn ones (ovals etc) and all races would be with single spec cars (maybe two specs if needed). And as these races would be one per month I'm sure praccy wouldn't be that much of a problem  Wink

Unfortunately it's not possible for me. Monday's are hard enough Wink but Tuesday I visit my mom and don't get home until late.

Not offered as a choice but Thursday's are good for me. Cheesy

We could do away with qualy altogether or shorten race lengths to say 30mins (or 2x 15mins races).

I would love to join in, but Tuesday is also a regular weekly UKGPL race night.

The times for UKGPL are 8:45pm for qually and 9:30pm for race start, so I would be pushing my abilities to switch from GTL to GPL so quickly.
There is definitely a different style of driving required for these 2 sims and a sudden switch could be a problem with bad consequences.

If the times that are selected for the GTL races work out, I might try it and see how much I suffer in GPL.

Tuesday is not a good night for me, I hope to race also on Wednesday on NoGrip. Sorry folks.

I'll close this topic now. I think only five is a non-starter.
