Where have you been David?  Get the head movement patch from SRMZ - you will like it! Maybe look at the video from a maddog first?  Also a good discussion on trail braking ATM. Grin

Well, I can only assume that David and myself have been in a black hole!! I have never heard of these extra bits either. Head movement?? ffb2 ?? no letterbox???.
I suspect that David is like me and only looks at the UKGPL forum for race threads etc, I very rarely visit SRMZ unless directed there for some specific purpose.
Maybe one of you guys who knows about these things could post a list of brief explanations and links on the Announcements Page so that those of us who are not "in the know" can catch up?
I was only aware of the 60fps patches and some comments made about the refuelling patch recently.  Undecided So it makes me wonder how many other things some of us have missed. Is there a comprehensive list of these patches anywhere?

Not bad for first GPL race in over 5 years Smiley.
I qualified 3rd, but lost one spot at the start. Top 4 were running close in the early laps, and we got away from the rest of the field. After a few laps third made a mistake, and I was through, running close to two leading coopers. But it didn't last, as I blew the engine, had to make a SnG and fell to 7th. I made my way through the field slowly and I got back as far as 4th by the end.

This track need some flagger.During the race was impossible to understand if there was the leader behind me or some other.
Specially in the evening i have difficult to check pribluda,i'm myopic and the ditsance of the screen is a tragedy;not enough distant for the
glasses but too distant to allow the eyes to work without glasses.

.In a race ,to check pribluda,i was gone out of the track in a straight Grin

I chose my least favourite car, the horrible twitchy Brabham - and to compound it all, it turned out Ligier blue!  Roll Eyes
Qualified 6th, nearly a second slower than my PB.  Got the jump on Billy at the start, but after a few laps I made a mistake and he disappeared into the sunset. Then Syd eased past me easily, and I endured about 15 laps on my own. Finished 6th.

Pretty boring circuit, I feel.  No corners which felt in any way satisfying.

Good to see another old campaigner (Syd) back at UKGPL.
Whilst I don't think Estoril is anyone's favourite track it is rather different to the typical lay-out of 60's era tracks. It seemed rather well suited to the Cooper & looks like Jani & Philippe had a good battle at the front.
If nothing else it produced a consistent finish. Other than David & Syd swapping places everyone else finished where they started.
My race was fairly solid. Avoided the sticky gravel traps for the whole race, lost one place at the start but managed to nick that back when Ronnie span. Edged up to 4th when Syd dived off into the pits for a SnG but he clawed his way back after a few laps.

Yes that contact on L16 was unavoidable but unfortunate as it ended the race between us which was good fun. But i don't think it affected the final result.

An epic new PB in qualy put me on pole (thanks for the car Robert!), though I doubted I could keep the same pace in the race. Wheelspin costed me a position at the start but I was back in P1 after a few laps. This track is a horror place to race but I kept the car on the asphalt and avoided any serious damage. Luckily the engine problems did not occur this time.

Thanks for the race Philippe! Well done everyone for finishing!

You are right, also for me is much more fun if there is the battle on the track but sometime error are possible.Woithout you the rest of the race was tedious,i have finished it only for obligation but without fun.

Cooper was not A punishment !,
I imagine "Jani the great" has A problem with his car, because I can follow you. But I make 2 or 3 mistake, and so I decide to keep the second place.
Very difficult track.
Thanks for the "staff" Ukgpl, with all this good times on this season.

On the season standings page, this race is not listed. Was it a non-championship round?
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=549&theme=6
Also, in my driving history, this race is listed as DNF. Bug?

Not much to say about this track or the race , pretty unspectacular on both counts,  though I was hampered by a distinct lack of practise .

Grats to the podiums  Smiley
