Apologies to Richard Thompson. I believe this was a violation of 'Rejoining after an incident' on my part. Hotlapping does not translate to racecraft. See you at Spa.

Again 3rd Start was ok, got by Georg who had a bit too much wheelspin. Had to go abit wide at T1 because of the terrible first lap grip off the Merc and there were 2 other cars all of a sudden on the inside. Not too bad, since I knew I had better race pace then the 2 in front of me except Jeffrey at front and Georg on my heels. At T1 on the second lap somebody left the door wide open just to slam it shut in my face, resulting in another loss of my just feshly renewed side mirror ( seriously guys, these things ain't cheap ). Wasn't too bad until I spun out at the fast uphill left hander, rejoined at the back. But still in the points luckily ! Had a few battles after that relying on the sheer power of the merc on the long straights and managed to get back to P3 ( forever 3rd :'( ) Still enjoyed the race Replay ( in case anyone missed it ) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/feyxg0vn9tftc92/ks_mercedes_amg_gt3%40acu_hungaroring_20160817221631?dl=0

Pfweeww, that was a hell of a job to keep the Bentley tank on the track. Just to many bends and not enough straight! In the final minute of qualifying i went from 6th to 8th, so i knew it would be a hard race as it is not easy to pass around the Hungaroring. At least points where a possibility as we had 11 drivers turning up. Made a decent start and managed to keep my nose clean as in the first laps there where some guys spinning off. Found myself in 4th, but i knew that wasn't going to last around here. Halfway i got a nudge into T1 and spun. Luckely the group was not too spread out, so we could continue our battles. In the last couple of laps the tire temps where dropping dramatically and now Mark was really on my case in his Lambo. I could appreciate his speed and the pressure he put on, altough it must have been a bit frustrating being stuck behind me. Now i had a spin of my own when i entered T11 too hot on coldish tires, with Mark having to take evesion action. (sorry about that) Now Pete could escape for 6th place, which should have been mine , and was off in the distance for the last laps. Well as it was his birthday i can forgive him. No lag spikes or game freezes this time, so i could concentrate on driving and made it a enjoyable evening. Bring on Spa. (I altered the affinity of the .exe file to "higher than normal" to stop W10 from doing other stupid things in the background. Had no stutter what so ever. Could be helpfull for others with a tiny CPU too)

My apologies for missing the race, real life conspired against me. :'( Had a great day on track myself and left with plenty of time to get home, sort the guest out and join the race server. However the infamous (shockingly bad) m25 and dartford crossing decided it was better for me and several thousand other hot drivers to sit in a 7mile traffic queue in 27 degree heat so I didn't get home until 7.30pm hot and exhausted. Then had a wife and guest waiting for a delayed evening meal. Quite sad to see only 11 turned up but I'm one of the absentees so can hardly complain. Am sure the Spa Jewel in the crown will attract a better turn out

That was real hard work, especially when the temperature in my flat was 24deg. Came away pretty frustrated in qually as the car wasn't as planted as in practise the week before, rear where sliding and the fronts had no confidence but still got into the 47's so was reasonably happy. I do seem to make decent starts but got out wide and think I ended up back where I was and tried to settle down but quickly got stuck behind Simon who was stuck behind Stefan in the Bentley. Despite much persuasion the Bentley couldn't be moved! Rather jammily Simon got past but then found myself behind having to react to the sudden slowing for the corners as I had no brake lights showing. For some reason addon cars rely on the PP effects to light them up! Made things tricky when he had to deploy the parachutes earlier than I braked to stop it. But at no stage could I gain an advantage Sorry about the hit at the first corner, you actually made the apex that time as well Yes and when you got sideways out the back, for a split second I saw freedom! then realised you hadn't caught it and was heading to the inside. It was pretty intense and enjoyed it but seeing Simon in 4th and Picnic in 6th did hurt!

Uneventful race for me this time but after the last two races I finally got a reasonable result again. Started from P4 but was able to gain two positions before turn 1 as I got a really good start this time. First two laps I was more or less able to follow Jeffrey but as soon as his tires got enough heat he was consistently one second per lap faster. I expected some pressure from behind but obviously Georg and Maikel had some problems, so I'm quite happy with P2 at the end, 20 seconds gap to P1 and also to P3 I believe my beloved Nissan is getting old slowly, all those new GT3 machineries are really fast, maybe I need to switch to something else for next year btw: the lap chart link doesn't work here, getting error 404 when trying to enter the side.

Hi all,
Sorry if this is in the wrong post but I use to race with UKGTR (back in 2005-2006, brings back memories) and ran across your forum recently and seen your racing AC and wondering if it's possible to get in on some of the races your having using Assetto Corsa? I'm not the fastest but definitely pride myself on clean fun racing.
Hope to hear back
Thanks, Glen

Hi Glen, your very welcome to join in and don't worry about your pace, there is usually somebody to race against irrespective of your pace, and you can always build that up with more laps all I would need is your steam guid and choice of car (and skin if a specific colour scheme you wish for). To Linus, my track toys :- have used the old 911 for 7 years on most UK tracks and Spa and Nurburgring. Only done Bedford GT and Snetterton in the Cayman R ... so far
