Moderator's Report

Roo Mellor wins the race, leading from start to finish. Robert Fleurke finishes second, setting the fastest lap of the race. Tristan Bot rounds out the podium after losing time on Lap 1.

Server replay time: 0h02m00s

On Lap 1, Ronnie (Ray) goes off towards Panoramabocht and rejoins the track, making contact with Tristan. Ronnie continues on track, Tristan goes off and loses time and trackposition; and has suspension damage.

Tristan reports Ronnie didn\'t take any care rejoining, and was still full throttle. Ronnie reports Tristan could have stayed to the right of the track, avoiding the contact.

Since it was Lap 1, Ronnie knew there were cars close behind. He lost speed and momentum on the grass, but drove/went back on the racing line. Tristan appears to leave room on the inside, but the collision boxes do their work, and Tris goes off. The topography of the track and corner certainly contributed to the incident, as well as the collision box/lag. It looks like Ronnie could have done a better job trying to stay off the racing line. I don\'t think Tris could have done much more. It\'s very hard to give a lot of room at that corner, risking to go off yourself. Tristan was clearly the victim here.

Since Tristan doesn\'t ask for a penalty, and considering all factors, it\'s an Incompetent Bad Rejoin: Warning for Ronnie.

Thanks Axel. I must have missed that fix.
I still find it strange that I have only just suffered from the wierd steering wheel problem? but if the fix works it should be the one and only time that I see it  Wink

Previous page at 3pm you will see where Maddog posted a link to the Site with the wheel fix.  It's nice to point to these helpful sites, where things are originally made, so they know the work is useful.  Good to have a backup here, if the Site disappears because no-one uses it.

Congrats Roo!

That was some interesting reading. Now I know Tim's secret. Smiley I doubt it would help me. Ten years ago, a couple of beers might relax me a bit which could improve my performance.

In the early 2000's, I liked to sit down for some driving while at the same time, start drinking beer. I'd see how many it took before my lap times started increasing and I started wrecking more. The effects always became noticeable on my 5th beer. I usually gave up on my 6th. Smiley Now, I doubt I could tolerate more than 2 without a noticeable effect on my performance.

Sorry Tristan and anyone else caught out by my bad rejoin. I apologised in the race chat and I apologise again here Tristan. In the heat of the moment I made a hash of the rejoin and most certainly cost you the chance of victory and myself for that matter. Good luck tonight.
