Cars allowed: Ford Capri RS 2600.

Skin pack Download this. All drivers need to download these skins and add them to your Ford Capri folder.

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race 1: 20:30 (21 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Early race start time.

Is this Capri the standard car from the original game? i.e listed in my cars as the Capri RS?

Yes it is Clive, but it is the lower powered (310 bhp?) one, the RS2600. The higher powered one is the RS3100.

Thanks Geoffers.

Now that you have pointed it out I can see that there are 2 options in terms of power.  Wink

Well, not entirely sure where 4th place came from. Had run a few laps here (Imagine my surprise 1st time out when I thought this was the real Avus and suddenly found a hairpin blocking my path)...

Anyway, I appeared to have a rather unorthodox route around T1 which seemed to become a "Block Pass"  for anyone trying a more traditional route but it served me well so who am I to complain. Only made 2 mistakes 1 running wide in the final turn and the other at T1 when I somehow went from 5th to 2nd instead of 4th and spun allowing several drivers through. Seemed to get a lot of "cut track warnings" going through the chicane during practice leading up to this but managed to keep it clean for race day. You could have fried bacon on my right Front coming off the final turn but it all seemed back under control by T1 so I didn't worry about it too much.

Fun race and not a car I was familiar with but could come to like a lot should we have a series devoted to it in the future.

Thanks for the race guys, it was a blast as usual.

One single smooth but clean driven lap only, which didn't feel notably fast but I reached a 59.5 which made me very happy.
Found an online setup which helped me to improve more than two seconds. That's all what counts.
Results are secondary for me.
