Seems the devs are making some progress in solving some of the issues that have plagued our races lately ie disappearing cars. See post #92:

https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/multiplayer-flickering-disappearing-cars-issue.6773/page-5#post-97268

There will be an update (probably later today) which hopefully will mean that this race runs smoothly. I have for now disabled flags on our server as advised (was set to black flag only) until a further update next week.

Update is there, one thing is:

Disabled “Peer 2 Peer” functionality in Multiplayer for the time being while investigating a problem with opponents disappearing.

I'm not well again so going to have to give this one a miss unfortunately. I'm ok to start the race server as usual.

Get well soon GT, though hope others turn up, this combo is a nice one.

With all the car labels its always said 'p2p' however never really found out what that actually means in realtion to the game.

My guess is that rather than the server just pointing people at each other, all the traffic is going to route through the server

Gosh.

Really enjoyed driving this. TBH just being almost a second away from John is quite an achievement and wasn't going to challenge him at that pace but it was good to see Xavier surprise us all by turning up! You were actually putting me under pressure there to keep ahead at a decent pace, not used to that! Well done for hauling that Bentley around here. In fact also to Dieter as I didn't think the Mustang was that quick!

TT, are you the same person that used to race here? lol? Was looking forward to both you and Xavier having a good race but you just went straight into the gravel on the second lap!

Not sure why John quit out after 30mins? shame actually.

Nice to see no lagging/disappearing cars this week, so I guess temporarily disabling P2P is a step in the right direction. Hopefully a more permanent fix soon.

I had a quiet race until I saw Xavier spun at the side of the road, and then spent the rest of the race watching my mirrors wondering when he would catch me again. He did, but then seemed to keep a respectful distance until I helpfully overcooked it a bit at the second hairpin and allowed him through. Good race though.

Congrats Spanner, Xavier.

I'm under the impression that if you install W10 on it again without changing any hardware it should register OK as M$ have a finger print of your PC and the fact it was authenticated before. Note I say 'under the impression' as I haven't done this and proven it.

Doesnt mean its the fault of Windows 10 alot of us have been running it for a while now. In fact i have never seen any error screen oh well.

You did, certainly when i installed it, get a period where you could go back to your old version but its only 10days long.
