NP, Sam.  Poo happens.  I could have continued, it seems, but couldn't find a way back to the racing surface after clearing the fence.  Bugger!

Grats, Tris!  Nice recovery, Greg!  Super drive to P6, Billy!  Smiley

Having just returned from a weekend with the grandchildren, I was more than a little zonked out. But, what the heck! it's only Nurby lol.

Jumped straight into qually and grabbed an old setup for the baby Brab, which I quickly found was not ideal. A few tweaks later and it felt better, but I failed miserably to hook up a decent lap and ended up around 10th on the grid.
I committed the cardinal sin of changing the setup between qually and the grid and held my breath as the race started hoping I had not  screwed up what pace I had already had.
The car was quick off the grid and I took advantage of a couple of slow starters to climb to about 7th, a few offs ahead and I was around 5th as lap 2 started. The setup was not ideal, but as long as I concentrated hard in the corners it was working quite well.
I was amazed to find that I could outgun Axel's big Brabham on the straight and pass him into 3rd place....only to outbrake myself at T1 and run wide leaving me back in about 6th!!  rats!!!
The car was undamaged, so I set off after the leaders again. One car ran wide and I gained a place and before long I could see Axel ahead again.. and I was closing. Once again on the straight I drafted past, and yes at T1 I outbraked myself at T1 for a second time!!!  I felt like a total muppet!

Set off AGAIN!! trying to close those cars ahead.  Yet again I started to catch Axel and was thinking that I would get to him on the straight for a 3rd time.
But maybe I was distracted by seeing AXel ahead or just forgot to concentrate in the corners, but I ran just too wide and ripped a wheel off  Undecided
It might have been better, in fact it should have been better!! but I blew it.

Grats to Tris who was very quick, and to Greg who was chasing him hard, Axel for keeping it together and ignoring my untidy driving, and to all of the other finishers.

Dont worry, Greg it happens at all, shame because the third place was within my reach and solved the troubles of the pedal potentiometers could stand in the street.
I run just for fun I never had ambitions to win a championship, unfortunately at 51 years of work and family will not allow me to train more than two hours over the weekend, I saw that you were faster than me and I would have given you the road as soon as possible, because I had started to slow down as I was this time the temperatures of 100 ° engine .. I have yet to figure out how to drive these F1 66 ... you have any advice to give me ??

See you at Monza! Smiley

This was largely a practice for the 65 race on Tuesday. As a Privateer driver I had the option of a 3.0L car for this race. Ferraris seem to cope well with the Green Hell but I could not keep the 312 on the road. The 246 was less troublesome. Still no Pribluda & no clutch for the 66 mod. I tucked in at the back with a plan of letting the Ring defeat the opposition. I ran into a problem on lap 4, leaving me with a sick engine but capable of getting round till the end. No idea until I crossed the line that I had bagged 6th or that I could have just parked at the end og lap 4.
