Default is 1/12. This puts the traction control at his highest and while safest, its alot slower in my opinion. Higher settings ( like 10/12 ) means less TC.

You can change it while racing with control + T. I usually have it at 6/12 and maybe change it abit per track so I can easily catch a slide at full throttle with just some counter steering. Imo it's faster this way.
Think I had it at 8 on this track. It really helps throwing the rear around abit with a few corners.

And like I said, it's more fun  Grin

Careful, every car is slightly different, some cars dont all go up 12, and i've noticed with the corvette, when you stick it on it defaults to 2 out 12. So not really sure if 1 is max TC or not!

I use alt-T but you can also map TC+ and TC- in the control settings. They seemed to appear for the F1 cars but i assume still work for the others?

So 1 is max assist reduces the higher the number?

I always run TC a few notched up from completely off so in the Fezza it's around 8.

well I cured my understeer into acute oversteer, but much prefer it that way  Smiley and it improved my pb by 1.1 second  scooter

I had a brief try with lower TC (3) but I seemed to lose time rather than gain but it was late and I was knackered so will try again tonight with various settings.

Hi guys, i am back for action...almost. Got the newish desktop up and running with AC. Still need to install a faster CPU and more Ram memory, but i think i will do the race tonight if i can source me a decent setup from the web.

As for this track. Did some benchmarking on my system, running an Asus GTX670 and on Hockenheim it suffered from lower fps then on the vanilla Red Bull Ring. Now the Geforce Experience app suggested to put all setting to maximum, so will dumb down the grafics for tonights race.

I spent all my praccy time last night setting up my new triple screen setup (central 24'' and 2x22'') on a proper 3 screen stand  Shocked so although it looks amazing (and almost car cockpit size real!) I hardly turned any laps. Can see the brake markers a lot easier now though Grin

The problem with the f458 is it feels great on softs but as soon as you stick mediums on its bloody awful  Sad

Looks like my Redbullring setup works great, but its on softs. Yet to actually try and make the mediums work yet Undecided

Sorry Mark et al, I'm not gonna make the final two races. Previous engagements, getting in the way. Tonights is every two months, plenty time for my feeble-mind, to forget. Actually, next weeks is once a month and I forgot about it too..  Embarrassed

And unlike the GT3's, I seemed to have (more of) a clue with these...  Roll Eyes

Done all my practice with meds so far, I'll be on softs tonight. I found the softs lasted pretty well at Austria, so I guess they'll be fine here too - not many fast corners to really stress them out.

Oh, also, how many laps this time?

Well, that could have gone better, but then it could have gone worse.

Only got back in time to see 3 mins left of qually, had no setup, no practice. Discovered in race I was well short on the gearing and was bouncing off the limiter for a good 600 yards on the long straight so was losing 3 - 4 tenths on the straight. Despite having to sit at a very funny angle to even race tonight my pace would have been ok if I'd had any practice and qually.

Shame as I love these cars and would like to be competitive if only I could practice first, even for 5 laps. Children! Bah! Our 2nd child is only 9 weeks old and not very good at sleeping! :-)

Where did you dig up that version of the track btw Mark, it was definitely the worse version of Hockenhiem I've ever seen! It had the right layout, but beyond that, I was one of the worst 3rd party tracks I've seen in a while.

Well done to Eck on the win. Wish I had time to practice, might have been fighting for podium myself then!
