Not sure whether to pick mediums for the race or not. Softs are overheating but not sure they are wearing badly as a result. Mediums dont seem that slow in lap time but do feel less grippy even if that doesn't necessarily translate to much slower times. Hmm.
GT4 Cayman is fun against the AI on Hard/Alien. It's an easy car to drive, but great for closing racing.

How is it compared to the Maserati?

How is it compared to the Maserati? Had a quick run with on Muguello, but was about 3 seconds slower then the Maserati. And it comes with ABS and TC unfortanely ( still almost impossible to spin with TC off ) So alot easier, but slower.

I like the way it handles, just has a lovely balance. Shame it has lots of electronic aids cause it makes it VERY hard to spin. You can still push too hard and go off, but it's not a challenge to drive, but that means it will give close racing.

It had nothing you needed to work around, it was the most benign car I've driven, but still fun. Could you ballast up the masarati to slow it down?

Shame it isn't competitive with the other GT4. Looks like another DLC with good cars which don't fit on a grid with the things we already have. The 935 look fun, but with the DRM being made it doesn't really feel necessary to buy it.

The 918 hypercar is another silly hypercar. Horrible to drive, far too fast in a straight and brakes like it has sponges for brakes (probably cause it's going silly quick). I hate all the hypercars.

Tried the 918 aswell. Just like Simon said its terrible. Terrible brakes, going into corners you get understeer, oversteer, every kind of steering but the right one. The P1 and laferrari are alot better to drive though. Still looking forward to the LMP cars. And testing the GT3 cars with v10 tyres. On a side note; the Ferrari feels a little slower to drive after the update. Not as easy to throw around in the corners. Tested it last week and got an 1;38;3 quite easily. Last night I had to tune my setup and was jut barely to get into the 38's with a little luck. Could be just me though

According to someone on the official forum the McLaren 650s GT3 also got a aero break which makes the car a bit slower. btw: I'm sorry, but I'm away for today's race. Have fun

Somethings i noticed, the sound reset to 100% but now also sounds a little different! when joining the server briefly last night I found the cars FFB level had reduced to around 50%
Plus what looks like just a font change to the delta time app somehow makes it harder to read. Find the session time at the top of the screen distracting, when it was already available under a default app.
So there are changes that arnt mentioned in the official release notes? nice.

Aaargh! I haven't had any practice at all! Had Jury Duty all week (still not done). Just about to start, expecting to be much slower than usual. Should be intersting to see how I fare, will be fun though. I'll check aero levels again sometime later, bit busy just now. Haven't even touched any of the new cars yet

Fun race, I had no pace but by staying out of trouble I managed to make up some places. Had two fun wee battles too Mark was obviously much faster than me but I managed to keep him behind for a few laps which was a lot of fun. (Reckon you're aero was damaged, as I almost got you again on the following straight! - but I wouldn't have passed you even if I could have). You then went about passing Steven (Stephen, not sure, sorry) and he ended up on the gravel - to which I said thank you very much and passed gleefully. I'd been behind him for quite some time before Mark was up my chuff, and got him into T1 but he got me on the switchback, I made a mistake and fell back. By letting Mark do the hard work, I got by him anyway. Anyway. fun wee season, looking forward to something in the future - but I might need a few weeks off!
