I don't think the 3L cars had a great advantage here. It helped on the straight but not so good in the twisty section. Reasonably happy with my race, kept in touch with other cars for most of the race & apart from one small spin late on kept it clean.

Another fine victory for Tristan!  Grats on that drive.

Clive doing a super job in the little BT11/BRM for a fine P2.

A surprise P3 for me thanks to some reasonable pace, some early passes and mostly, Axel's hard luck.  Again.  Geeezzz, Cookie...  I scoped the replay cap to note your demise.  That connection hiccup couldn't have come at worse location.  No, not on a straight away where it might have been absorbed without any drama.  Oh, no, not that.  In a corner lined with Armco.  Sigh...  Sad

Off the start, I bounced Andrew(another fine drive from he)and took up station behind Marco as we approached T1.  I was very careful to monitor everyone ahead expecting trouble and I certainly didn't want to be the author of any grief.  MM skipped a bit wide to the left at a crucial point and I took the opportunity to poke my nose down underneath him to scoop a second position.  Late in the opening lap, Piero's 4-banger Coventry-Climax mill went on strike in a big way and promoted me to the lofty position of P4 at the end of the first lap.  Well!  Smiley

Tris, Axel and Clive were just up ahead but inching away.  Marco was soon displaced by Dean as my pursuer and closing.  Knowing that DL was vying for the title and having suffered a cruel DNF at The Glen which really put him under the gun, I let him through for position to score more points and stay in contention.  Next lap and he rim-rode T1 and I took over P4 again only to hand it back to him in a carbon-copy move of my first wave-by just a few hundred metres on.  That didn't last long, tho, as his engine failed barely a lap later.  Not meant to be, Dean...

This left me in a fairly comfy P4 til Axel's DNF where I had good cushion back to Marco.  Andrew showed on my pit board at times but I could hold the gap reasonably well.  I got a hefty wake-up call when I saw Sam's name on the board.  !!!  He was closing consistently and upping my pace a tadge did little to preserve the margin.  Only some late slips from Sam gave me the breathing space I needed to hang on.  Seems I can score nothing but P3 placings this season.  Smiley
