I'm looking to recruit some more members of Team Shark to race in UKGTR championship races. Team Shark is a bit thin on the ground for GTR, so looking for drivers who can compete regularly in championship events.

We have a wonderful selection of cars painted in Team colours for new drivers to use, our own website and forums where we can discuss tactics (ha ha) and swap setup tips etc.

If you're currently part of another team you could consider moving to Team Shark to even things out a bit  Tongue or add a bit of added spice to proceedings. We're all a friendly bunch of fish at Team Shark, where we also have our own NASCAR arm of the team run by Nick Phillips. Or perhaps you are part of a very small team and would like to join forces with a bigger well renown team like Team Shark.

If you're interested in switching to Team Shark and can regularly drive in UKGTR championship races please PM me to discuss. Maybe some of the old guard regulars would like a change and drive for the historic Team Shark, whatever your situation, Team Shark is a great team to race for.

To wet your appetite here are some shots of the team car's you could be driving...

Good to have you on over board. May the fins be with you.

He does want Viper, unfortunately it's one of the very few cars I haven't done yet!  Sad

It'll have to go in the next skin pack rather than this one (assuming there is another). I'll certainly paint one now and hopefully if there is another version of the skin pack it can go in then.  Smiley

http://images.google.co.uk/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=red+tail+black+shark&btnG=Search

Was the skin ok Rich. i found it real hard to do I never used photoshop before. the tech advise on RSC was crap it told you what to do but not how to do it. I got no experience of how a PC works what files do what. i even had to look up how to create a new folder to put it in. It was working but the file was a mess. I couldn't work out how to change the rest of the number to Ukxxx. If i renamed them manually it never worked and i couldnt get them in to geditor to rename them. I did give it a go like you said and learnt alot of new stuff. i tryed to my best for you and wouldn't blame you for rejecting it.

It is also with regret that Luis Branco leaves Team Shark for pastures new. I wish him all the best with his new team and the his adventures in SimRacingPortugal and bSkilledLeague.

Great skins Shark team.Maybe its time you go over the border with your team have a look here:http://www.sim-challenge.com/,i saw 139.xx in pre-qual at Estoril in a Morgan.
They race on monday and wednesday (so no UKGTR interference) i signed up as Dutch Turtles.
Can you be a member of the shark team and race in another team as well?

As long as you learn something new each time that's all that matters. I've edited it and looks ok now.. all that's needed for car to appear in GTR is to have the needed files named UK499 at start replacing the 155 in your case. Then in .car file where it says number it must be UK499 also. Then all the DDS files must start UK499. To do this there is extract option in Locutus GEditor, once extracted you can rename to UK499 and then delete the 155 DDS files in .GTR files and import the UK499 ones. It's only matter of renaming and reshuffling mostly. If you look at any of UKGTR cars, they all start UK###.. that's the key to it, and the name is given in .car file from 'Number'. The remaining part of all names is the exact same as the model your editing, only the first part UK### is changed.

Btw, i'd use paintshop pro 8 instead of photoshop.. it's much more intuitive to use when it comes to painting.

As long as you are committed to both teams and they don't race in the same leagues.

Hey Shark, why don't you just get Dave to write a script that automatically allocates drivers to Team Shark when they join the forums, that way you wouldn't have to bother with all this bothersome recruitment lark  Grin Wink
