Just took advantage of the steam sale to update my AC content. Very impressed with the Praga so might be up for this one too.

Pick something for next week people, before I pick something Friday . I want things decided before the weekend, so people have time to practice and have things downloaded and sorted in time.

Sounds good to me. I'll try to put some laps in to see where they stand, although I struggle at imola, so it won't be be easy to get the maximum out of the cars.

I tested these a few months back along with all the other cars and we ran the faster pack. This is the next group down and lap times across the board for all the cars is 2.02 - 2.03. Obviously the aliens will faster but the cars are all pretty consistent in times.

Okay, all good. These are roughly the times on RSR Mazda RX7 Tuned 1:59 - 2:00 Lotus Exige 240R Stage 3 2:01 Porsche Cayman GT4 1:59.7 BMW M235i Racing 1:57.5 Porsche 911 Carrera S 1:58.0 Lotus Exige S 2:01.5 These aren't the fastest laps on RSR, but I've taken away the fastest lap if it was by a big margin and picked an average lap for the first stable fast laps. The Carrera and the BMW seem clearly the fasest with both lotus cars dragging behind. I'm fine with picking these cars, just hope people will pick sensibly

You'll find also that the fast cars will have the advantage on the long straight but the Lotus cars will catch up in the corners. This is what happened last time with the faster group. The 2-11 was left behind on the straights but was killing the 911 GT3, Nissan GTR, Audi R8 etc in the corners. A real cat and mouse affair

:'( I've spent half the afternoon practicing with the Beemer! The only other front engine is the Mazda, and that is just plain horrible with the default setup

We can keep the BMW, and hope people don't go lame mode and pick it when they are way faster with it.

The beemer was not bad on the default setups, I just changed dampers a bit to reduce the power slides. The Mazda on default setup was undrivable ror me.
If it causes probs with alien car choices, I can probably crawl round in a Porka If required.

Check tyres on the Mazda on default setup, maybe it's on 90's streettyres instead of semislicks. Mazda is loads of fun
