Championship standings HERE Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Phoenix Download thisCars allowed: Shelby Mustang Boss 302 Download thisPractice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (20 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk Monday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

Hello, I recently reloaded GTL after a few years away from sim racing and was surprised at how good it still felt. I am keen to do a few races, so will aim to take part in the next one - that's if I can get this truck to go around this shopping carpark maze in a reasonable time.

I’ve not taken part recently because by the time I’ve got home from Monday Golf it has either been too late or I’ve felt too tired to make the effort despite having practiced for the events. I think the last race I managed was in the Boss Stang and I was really enjoying that until my fuel stop when either my pit crew neglected to refuel my car or there was a fuel pump malfunction resulting in me running out of fuel after leaving the pits. I have missed having some virtual online exhilaration behind the Logitech wheel lately so will do my best to join in on Monday. Back markers beware, I may be amongst you if I can keep up.

Hi Rog, yes my Chrome blocked the download too, but I did find away around it in the end. Chrome does let you but it's in the small print.

Problem with Xd, took about 7 to 8 laps before number of laps the fuel would last for was shown. Also I have no lap times in Xd nor in "my records" - it shows the Boss 302 at Phoenix but no recorded time. So I have to rely on how car ? feels to drive.

Yep!, Chrome also decided that the Pheonix circuit was a threat, and once I had found my way around the download and got onto the track I could see where Chrome was coming from!! This track is a car killer!!! with all of those concrete walls, the slightest error is going to hurt...a lot!!
Did a few laps to check the server and learn the track and try to recognise which corner I was approaching ( they all look very similar) Also made a few adjustments to the setup to try and cope with all of those 90 degree corners........I will need more adjustments before the race tonight for sure!!

Special one with all these 90 degree corners. Managed to reach a low 1:56 offline yesterday. CU tonight.

Hi UK Gtlers. Well, after a lot of messing around with files and settings I have a good feel in the wheel (the default ffb is weird) but no feeling for this track. It's just one bloody concrete wall after another and I forget where I am on the track and get to thinking "haven't I just been through here?" But like, for 20 laps Anyway, I have a couple of questions: how can I set the cpu affinity in GTL if you can't alt/tab out of the game? I seem to get kicked from the server every time I join for a session, is there a parameter I can adjust in the files somewhere to stop this? I noticed in the plr file that even on Professional settings there are still helps listed as on - lift/blip, steering and braking help. I have set these all to 0 and hope that they are truly off. that windscreen is a dirty disgrace and someone in the crew needs a boot.

Can't help with the getting booted, but the CPU affinity is - select the GTL process in task manager ("taskmgr" in run or a dos box) then in the setting is "affinity" set for "all cpus" make it run faster, and spreads the heat accross all cores

The box said "Windows 2000 server or better" So I installed Solaris
