Matt:
I ran auto clutch on that track because of the constant quick down shifting  and had a problem in offline practice with rear wheelhop problems .  Never thought of switching for the drag race off the hairpin.  I know it makes a big difference in this type of cars. Thanks for the hint...

Steve, it was me, who slowed early. For T1. Everytime ive raced here, theres been wrecks at T1,on the opening lap, with cars braking too late or facing the wrong way. So I was cautious, going in. Im really sorry. I meant to start from the back, but lost track of time. I tried to move off the racing line to let cars behind, pass.
Apart from ruining Steves race at the first turn, it was quite an enjoyable race.

You are not to blame for ruining my race Roscoe Steve. I should have been able to avoid you slowing early and I should have been able to keep my eye on the middle distance for the braking zone.

I've just played back those first few seconds and it seems I aborted just in time!

Yep, I felt and heard a loud bang, but thankfully it didn't toss me too far off course, so thanks for your sacrifice  Wink

Cheers,

Bob M.

Always looking for tips about driving GTL style.

Can someone please expand on this?  I think ( that is I think I think  Huh ) that I am using the autoclutch for gearchanges, but I'm not entirely sure that it works as I expect it to.  Undecided

Clive
It's keyboard F2, It lets you disreguard the clutch on takeoff.  Upside is it blips the throttle automatically on upshifts and down shifts.  Downside is that the shifts take a little longer and also makes the up and down shifts a little softer, kind of like a slush box.  It can cost you a little time to use it over a lap, some cars more than other's.  As I said I used it in the Boss mostly because of the downshifting after the long straight.  My reaction time and coordination isn't what it used to be.

I am using and have always used autoclutch; partly because of spinning when trying to downshift without it, partly because it keeps the engine running if you spin off and come to a standstill, and last but not least because I hate the sound of the gearchanges without it - sounds like an automatic changing, when you skip the autoclutch (and clutch in general)

Probably stupid for hanging on to it, when it seems everyone else gains an advantage from not using it, which I then have to make up for in being quicker otherwise  Roll Eyes

Cheers,
Erling

Grats to Geoffers and Erling.

Not my best race, I did a bad setup and I found some difficult to turn on these corners because my problem. However I think that will be very hard the match with Geoffers the next races, it seems that he found the way for get good speed with Boss302. Grats again Geoffers.
