Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (22 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: 2x
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

I'm sure it's probably me but....

I can't see any of the cars for this series in the available car list when I try to enter the server.  Huh

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Hi John, I probably forgot to set something when I did the server work after last night's race. I will attempt to sort it when I get home tonight. Sorry if this has caused any confusion.

Thanks Tony, no worries. I'm off work this week and thought I would actually start practice early between "Honey Do's".

I'll check again later tonight. Alpine seems fastest for me around here but feels a lot slower than the Porsche or the Ferrari. (But the stopwatch says otherwise). Cobra is a nightmare, glad I've not any rides left in that.

Early days on default set ups (With just gearing adjustments) but just for fun... 2:14 in Alpine and 2:16 in the other 2 and 1:54 in the Chappy 2G. Very nice track, seems to suit these cars very well.

I think I know what I've not done.
@Matt - If your able to.............Can you restart GTL and for car selection choose all cars. That should fix it.

Early race times with full fuel show Alpine with 2:17 and Ferrari at 2:18 but the Ferrari drives nicer. The Alpine feels a bit "floaty".

Thanks Matt, Tony, All works fine now.
The Alpine feels a bit "floaty".
You should try it after 18 laps with the tyre wear applied. Wear on the fronts is alarming. Like trying to steer an oil tanker. It's still my quickest option over full race distance though.

Have decided to drive the Por this time.  My top time so far is a 217.0 so far with fuel, mostly run 218's, but haven't found a decent setup for the car.  If I get it to turn in good on entry then it is twitchy mid and really oversteers on exit.  Hate to beg, but if anyone has a nice docile setup for this car would you mind uploading it on the game.  Tires seem to last very well at 2X, but I spin it more than likely on long runs.  Also haven't raced this track before so still learning the particulars and quirks.  Thanks ahead of time!!!!!

Hi Bob,
I just uploaded a Porsche set up. 904_GTS_6_JEEP. Very docile, 4 wheel drifts are great fun, needs a bit more front end but should be easy enough to develop.

Thanks John:
Just tried it out and it's a  good setup, much better than my fumbled up one.   My down fall was way too much power and not enough coast in the differential.  Also had  too much steering in it which made it too touchy.  Now just have to do some laps to learn the track and should be OK.
Tony said he was sending me his, thanks ahead Tony.  Great bunch we have here!!!!

Thought that I had better take a look at this new circuit ( well for me it is) and decided in a moment of masochism to try the Cobra........it quickly became evident just how stupid that idea was!! Roll Eyes So, tried the Porker with John's on line setup. It felt much better than the Cobra, but maybe I was driving it wrong ( probably!), but my best was a scrappy 2:17.

OK, so Fezza or that French tractor with a blowing exhaust?? Took a look at the races still to come...........with one of each car still to use I think the ring might require a "nice" car like the Fezz or Porker?? so I swallowed my pride and jumped in the Alpine with a slightly amended default setup ( more steering initially, then after a few laps I lowered the tyre pressures to get a better temp spread.). Like John said, it feels slow but the clock says different and I can't work out why it is faster than the Porker, which is much easier to drive??!!
I guess I managed to do about 15 laps before the fun police found me, with a best of around 2:14, but frustrated to be fighting terrible understeer mid corner and losing time when I wanted to get on the gas??

I've got a busy weekend ahead with decorating, plumbing and electricals so this might be my last off-line session before the race.............. Undecided
