I have received news from Roger (Roguk). He has had a tough time of it recently with some funerals, health problems and to top it all he had his computer and peripherals stolen.

He says he will return to GTL as soon as he is able to.

Hope all of the walking wounded at UKGTL recover your health/computers/mobility/time etc. quickly and rejoin the action in the near future. It seems that there are many out there experiencing tough times at the moment. 


OK Tony, I guess I was asking for that comment, especially when I referred to the 1980's as "ultra modern"!! 

Well compared to the 55 series they are from only yesterday aren't they??   I guess the young whippersnappers like Erling don't remember the Golden Years  .......oh dear! I feel another Tony comment coming.

Actually it was my comment     And no, born in 1964, it's limited what I remember of 50's racing, apart from historic racing documentaries. With that said though, I'm very fond of the 50'
s endurance series we've been running in previous seasons

I remember them well listening to the Le Mans race on the radio (those big things without a screen, accumulators and in rural Cornwall big HT batteries). Needed to switch on and wait for it warm up, then hope there would be footage in the Pathe News at the local cinema the following week.
