Entering the server today, I started wondering if Ziu is clairvoyant, of if he's simply hacked my PC. This is the 3rd race in a row in this series where he's picked the same car as me, in advance..  ninja

Well, I could think the same thing for you

Hehe no, if I had that knowledge, I wouldn't be stupid enough to pick the same class & car as you  Grin

Cheers,
Erling

Ok Ok i understood, to resolve this issue you need say which car you will use at Siverstone so I avoid to pick the same car

Thanks; may take you up on it, but in a way it feels a little bit like cheating, so not quite sure..  Smiley

This series is completely unpredictable, since drivers not usually winning are scoring victories; will be interesting to see the final tally at the end of the season - could be a few surprises waiting..   Cheesy

Cheers,
Erling

I had tried most of the cars here and for me the Mustang was by far the quickest but worries about the tyres and being such a fast track I knew any mistake would probably be a big one so decided on the RS1600 Escort as I felt the most comfortable in the bumpy braking areas.

A quiet race for me after the 1st few laps. Qualified in 6th having just crept into the 1:27's. Got a good start and jumped Steve by T1 and hung onto the back of Erling for the 1st few laps even having a sniff at an overtake at the end of lap 1 but sanity prevailed and I bailed out of what would have been a very messy move into T1 on lap 2. Lost a bit of rhythm a few laps in and the front 4 made a break, I meanwhile managed to extend the gap out from Steve by an equal margin. Once the race settled down and we began to lap a few drivers I knew there was nothing to be gained by pushing my way through so waited for an invite or a straight to make my moves. Steve began to come back at me towards the end but I knew as long as I didn't throw it at the scenery I had plenty in hand.

Thanks guys, great race, really enjoyed it as always.

John.

I felt a Class D car would utilise the straights best so chose the Capri for handling over the Z28. However, I was aware that running a Capri amongst the other classes could potentially put me in the thick of things, so felt quite excited and nervous at the same time.

An average start off the line was wasted at the first corner where I found I was watching the cars in front rather than where the track was, got a bit cross-eyed, locked the front brakes and allowed 4 or 5 cars to pass before I could get going again. Down to 10th in a flash!

With a mix of classes on the track I thought just keep calm and with no further mistakes, get back into the thick of things. The Capri's pace soon took me past Mike and Misnoimis in their yellow minis. Next car passed was Geoffers who unfortunately made it rather easy for me by nose-diving into the hoardings on the start-finish straight. Next ahead was Bob's Escort whose rapid pace I could only just keep up with, even in the Capri. A brief spin by him allowed me to close right up and on the next long straight was able to get ahead for 6th, which stayed that way to the end. I'm not used to lapping other drivers, so thank you to those who moved over for me.

I noticed quite a few references this week to drivers using wheels, shifters (and pedals?) and the various problems they can throw at you. I've always used a gamepad (yes, I'll admit to it!). I've found I'm a little quicker with a wheel and shifter, but am less consistent with keeping the car on the road, so have always opted for a trusty gamepad.

Well done to Ziu again and to Matt and Erling for filling the podium.
