Race 1: 20:30 (20 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note earlier race start time than usual

IMPORTANT

Once qualification has started drivers may not leave to change class/make/car. They may leave to change skins.

An exciting race from start to finish, mainly dicing with Clive, Bob and Mike. Love this track but it is so easy to take the wrong line and get caught out. I did embarrass myself on lap 3 when I went up the inside of Clive approaching the hairpin and found out that the Mini will not steer if the brake pedal is being stood on. Clouted Bob but this is at the Mods so cannot say much more about it. Needless to say it was my fault.

Wow, that was a  good one!  Took the 970 because I hadn't driven it yet in this series, was a little faster in the Imp, but took the Mini anyway.  Almost always had someone around me to either hold off or try to gain ground on.  Tony and I had a "get together" on about lap 3 I think it was, just a racing thing and both went off track and so we had to chase the field down.  Got up to about 7th I think and about mid race and GTL crashed to the desktop.  Got it back up again and had lost a couple of places again so set off again.  Fun little track and great for Minis!!!!  This has been a great series with all the choices of cars and tracks.  Next up in the series is Early Brands and will do the Z28, should be good fun also....

Had planned on taking one of the Class A cars for this one as due to missing a fair few of this series I had plenty to choose from. But the 1300 Escort was such fun around here I decided to go with that instead.

A very enjoyable race if a little lonely for the 2nd half. I knew I was always going to struggle to match the pace of Erling and Ziu and a few losses of concentration meant inevitably they raced off into the distance and I in turn managed to do the same to the chasing pack.

So a short report from me for this round.

John.
