I am hoping to run some series again next year, even thought the turn out is low, when people do come along
we usually have a good time  Grin

I will run an NSU series again, as that gives some serious fun.
What else would people (those that there are...) like to see, before I just go and do the usual?
I would like to keep it historic ish, but I am open to anything that might be a success
F1 style? other single seat options, excepting the Formula junior, as Tudor already has plans for those.
Aquila? Hillclimb specials? DTM92? Touring Classics? (perhaps without the Nissan), One of the Audi SPorts versions?
I liked the Silhouette series, not sure if Tudor is doing thos again next year?
seriously, anything is under consideration. If we had 20 members all coming along for the Historic events
I would think different, but we haven't. SO gimme some thoughs please  chef

Matt, I'd like to assign E4 to any RRE 2017 series please. I have already done this for Goldtop's series.

Thanks Tony. There will be an E4NSU, other than that, don't know yet.

Just done a few laps in a KTM Crossbow at Sonoma. These feel just like a race car should
They handle well, they turn in well, perhaps too well, and they have enough power
to get up to a decent speed. I like these  Smiley

I would be quite happy just doing more of the same again, maybe with more limited car choices in some cases if one or other car is considered too far ahead of the rest. Also happy to consider the Silhouettes again, and the Hillclimb Icons too, although never tried those.

One thing I wouldn't mind trying for a change is something FWD - I'm not normally a fan, but in pCARS there is a brilliant little Renault Clio series which is great fun; anything similar in RRE?

EDIT: The WTCC 2013 pack looks promising, with 4 FWD cars vs 1 RWD, and quite cheap too - 545 vrp for all 5 cars and lots of liveries (before any potential Christmas sale discounts). Anyone tried these?

Hmm, good thought. Some of the WTCC cars - Citroen/Chevvy are FWD i guess they will be like Race07
which was my fave sim of all time. I will give one or two a roll.

Good call Dieter! I have a few of the WTCC 2013 cars along with the later years and they are all good fun. As you say, the 2013 pack has the RWD BMW which might appease those who don't enjoy FWD. As for Race07, the Raceroom WTCC cars are a waaaaaaay better drive imho.

Well I just tried a selection of the WTCC 13/14 and 15 cars, and I may be missing something
because to me they are nothing like as good as the Race07 cars.

The Beemer in the 2013 is a bit wet to me, but is ok, all of the FWD cars have the most unrealistic
lift off oversteer like the rears are on Dunlop Groundhogs, which makes them a questionable choice.
You can get rid of it by setting the front everything max hard, and the rear everything max soft, and full rear wing
but they still want to wander off track with the slightest lift.
I set one as above, and the corner entry was not too bad, but the inside front was wheelspinning like crazy
I get similar times with 2013 and 2015 cars, the beemer was 0.5 secs slower round Sonoma sprint
btu I did less laps in him, as he seemed fairly "normal"

I like the idea, and could race these, but It would need a few people asking for them.

BTW Sunday series for 2017 (up to July) is as follows:

GT3 Sprint
GT3 Endurance
DTM 2016
Formula Raceroom Junior

I'd be happy to race pretty much anything on Thursdays apart from maybe the quicker open wheelers and the KTM which just feels a bit strange to me  Undecided

I would be interested in racing a FWD WTCC. I have spent most of my adulthood driving round like a boy racer in FWD in real life (as I suspect most of us sim racers have) so would be good to compare the game to real life (even though the closest to a racing car I have ever owned was an Astra GTE 16v).
I also liked racing the silouettes in Goldtops series.

We can run a WTCC series if people want it no prob. WOuld be nice if a few did a road test before
I ask Tony to create the series.
I still like the KTM, it just feels superb to me. But I am not going to run a series if there is only me that likes them.

Just gave the KTM another go and discovered my steering settings were all over the place which explains the weird feeling I was having......all good now.

It should be possible to create a RL WTCC series as I believe all the tracks are there  Wink

If it is decided that a WTCC series is a good idea, I'd prefer the newer/est cars. I'm useless in them but I do enjoy the newer cars, most.

I like the KTM too, though I've not tried racing them yet.

I really like the KTM, though someone has said they hated them? perhaps that was in AC?
I have done some more testing with the WTCC cars, this time at Zandvoort GP
I can do high 1:47/low 1:48 in any of the 2013 cars, and the 2014/15 cars are about
4 or more seconds faster. I was hoping to run the later cars but include the Beemer from the 2013 set
to give people an option, but the Beemer is about 4 or 5 secs slower than the 2015 cars so that won't work
so I would suggest WTCC 2013 as the staple, with perhaps an occasional event with 2015 cars.
I would be open to running the Sillouette cars, but I don't really want 5 series.

My current thinking is 4 series:

WTCC2013 (2015)
KTM Crossbow
DTM92/Touring Classics, with occasional "Guest" car set - Procar/GTO/Gr5
NSU TTS

How does this feel?
