Practice: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Mins

Cars allowed: Any car from GTR3 class
Track: Red Bull Ring GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon

Start: Rolling
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Dont think the server hosts the cars, you do. Or am i getting confused with AC?

Tried the demo of it but didnt feel it was as good as the Z4 tbh. Felt heavy, understeer and the rear diff feels a bit too locked for my liking. Though that is on defaults obviously.

No idea if a 31.3 from me is ok. Thought i'd actually try a low wing so am running 4 but required a bit of a change to the rear suspension to calm the back down a bit.

JP you were untouchable in the ford again, well done.  Though I saw a couple of your wiggles durring first few laps on cold tires and I really wanted to attempt a pass, I couldn't match your straight-line speed and performance today.   I know that is the ford's strength, or were you running almost zero wing ?  Need to find some more speed in the Ruf.... and of course tidy up a few corners throughout this track.  Always chipping away a few tenths each time out.  Haven't scrubbed through the replay yet but I think there was more action behind me, saw the gaps were with in a second or two throughout the race.

I ran quite a high rear wing to try and tame the back end, especially for T1 and T3 (? Right hander at the end of the back straight) but I still seemed to have good straight line speed. There was a bit of dicing between Spanner, Eck and myself.

I got a good start and a few second gap over the 1st few laps but once Spanner passed GT he slowly caught me up. But my speed down the straights never really gave him a chance to overtake. My pace allowed Eck to then catch up and annoy Spanner. The led to a small gap and then, near the end, a bigger one to allow me an easy last lap to the finish.

Couldn't really sort out any proper lapping in the practise session, was probabvly pushing too hard, but did manage to finally get the front end working better but still felt like I was having to turn the wheel way to much to get round the tighter corners.

Pleased to go a bit quicker in qually but could never get much more out of it.

Sorry to Eck for the second corner in the race, followed my normal routine but the extra fuel and those infront got in my way! Tongue Would have dropped back but with GT in close attendance decided to stick with it , thinking Eck would close back up anyway. Managed to calm down and start driving properly and was catching Pete but he was quick down the straights then I would be all over him in the middle sector but had nowhere to go. This allowed Eck to catch back up but managed to just stay infront.

Enjoyed that, shame you struggled GT, would have thought the Z4 was still decent with the right setup.

No one took the M6 then lol

The starts just feel too hap-hazard at times, cant we use the pit limiter button?

Forgettable evening for me. I usually enjoy Red Bull Ring but just couldn't get on it last night and twice lost control and crashed in the usually easy to handle Z4. Usual racing excuses then, too much on my mind and no setup/practice time  Roll Eyes

Regards using the pit limiter start procedure; yes it would be nice to do it that way but unlike in GTR2 there are no rear flashing lights when the limiter is engaged.
