A new car is released and the usual bumfight ensues  Roll Eyes

I think you mean bunfight?...  Undecided

Bum as in posterior  Smiley  As in everyone tries to get their bum on a seat eg. an oversold airline, or in this case the seat of the 650s  laugh

Woo woo, fun one, I had loaded my last decent handling setup from indy but forgot about the long gearing, changed that race 2 and really helped.  As always some of the most enjoyable and proper racing with you gents, and hope we can keep Thursdays going. Grin

Excellent close racing again and lots of action especially in race 2. Didn't have any prep time for this and forgot about being able to change gear ratios in these cars which made me a bit slow in a couple of critical areas....chicane especially. I'll miss the next round of these as I'm in Yeovil.

I am not looking to give up Thursdays, just I am wondering if R3E has enough following to be the most appropriate SIM
I chose this as a follow on from P&G as I felt it was more suitable for League racing than other comparable SIMs

I like AC, and Pcars is good, but they don't have the nicely pre grouped cars that this has.
This has a few limiting features like no in game chat, AC looks a bit "soft focus" to me, and some of the cars handle terribly
some are really nice to drive, as are some of the cars in R3E (IMHO)

But AC gets relatively large grids, and has a good following.
I am wondering if there would be interest in running "Classic" events using AC instead of R3E on Thursdays?

The main thing that puts me off AC is the lack of car groups. Even when cars can be loosely matched by era there is too much variation in performance between them. You would be lucky to find 2 or 3 cars from the same era that have equal performance and even then that would be track dependent. Eg Group C, classic DTM/touring, classic F1, classic GT/sports. I mean what are we supposed to race against the 935?  Roll Eyes

Another thing is that for me many of the cars just feel outright strange Eg Porsche 908, Alfa GTA, M3 in fact now I think of it, most of them!

I can't understand the lack of support for Raceroom  Huh OK it might not have the depth and some of the features of AC or even PnG (setups) but it's a great package and most importantly....never fails to produce excellent racing.

My racing is more limited these days but I'll try to support whatever the sim.

I concur about AC, it is good, but the reason I didn't go for it originally was the lack of
well matched cars. If I was to use AC it would be mostly spec races.
That's fine to some extent - MX5 series for e.g But I prefer some groupings.
AT the moment I am running the Xbow and NSU spec races. The NSU seems well liked
not sure abou the Xbow? I have tried all the classic groups in R3E and some don't like
the more powerfull ones. I may re introduce the Gr5 and GTO cars.
