Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

No Idea what happened there, one minute I am happily getting in Dieter's way, then it said "white flag, slow cars ahead" and the
screen froze for minutes, so I quit out eventually.

Well done Eck, it seemed we were matched on pace, err.. you were slightly faster and more consistent.  Toward end was I starting to get sloppy and put things where they don't belong clown

Yeah that was a shame, I was enjoying that. No warning either, you weren't lagging or anything, just suddenly disappeared from in front of me. Fun while it lasted though.

Congrats Eck and Carl.

Just a thought:

I am about to kick off some new series, nothing too radical, more of the same really
DTM92, Touring Classics, NSU, and the 4th one is Gr5/GTO/Procar

When I tried the Gr5 or GTO and the Procar in the past, they were not popular
I don't want to flog a dead horse again. I like them, they are very challenging
though to me the Procar is not challenging, just a bit awkward with it's understeer
power on oversteer combo, but not "hard to drive" I noticed Spanner quit out last night
before the race started, I seem to remember he was not a fan of the Procar previously?

I would like to do the Gr5/GTO/Procar but It is not set in stone.

Another option, though it's not "historic" (which is what Thursday is meant to be about)
are the Sillouette cars, which Tudor ran for a while and were mostly well liked?

There are several single seater classes, some like the Formula US (Indycars?) that might
make a good single spec series?

Thoughts gentlemen?

Thoughts gentlemen?

I know, I'm far from being a gentleman but I took it we were all included...

I like them all, very boring but true. Happy to run round at the back, with something I'm not fond of. Tracks I'm not fond of (too many to list), I'll still be there... unfortunately, for everyone else.

Thanks Eck

I am, as usual, trying to match cars to tracks that suit, sometimes it works well, sometimes it's not ideal  Roll Eyes
You can see the events appearing in the list as I do them.
There are not enough tracks available to always use only tracks that everyone agrees on, it would be a very short list  Grin
I have done at least the 1st event of each of the new series, and won't do many more without a few days for feedback.
They all are XXXXbXXX and Tony has called them "2nd Series" to try to avoid confusion.

The 4 series will run up to the end of the year (probably) when I have finished the admin, assuming no changes
If enough people shout up and disagree, then we could use different cars, I don't mind redoing some events.

Yes i left early as i really dont seem to get on with this car. The back end plays too much in the handling of the car, the front feels too vague with little feedback with no grip. I just seem to be quite sensitve to cars and struggle with cars which are too far off neutral.

I'm happy to race anything when I'm able to make it.

Regarding tracks, there have been some recent additions which are worth a look. I notice we have an event scheduled for Anderstorp but there is also Silverstone, Karlskoga and Mantorp that might suit some of these cars.

Anyone interested in GT2.  It's more or less the GTLM class that runs here in the states, WEC Lemans, ect...endurance series.  I may be the only one to vote for these but, the reason I found and joined you guys at the end of your season last year.  Was sad to not see them return on the calendar this year, replaced with GT3 I suppose ( still enjoyable but I seem to miss those Sundays often)

Of the GT classes GT2 seems to be the least desirable or long forgotten in the RRE, and not sure why?  They are a challenge but handling feels right to me.  The cars have more setup options unlocked, though more than I'd know how to tweak.  Just putting a feeler out there, maybe this is meant to be in a different thread on the forum, but car track combo topic was raised and thought I'd chime in.

I'm still all warm and fuzzy about running the historic stuff on Thursdays, but the sounds from grabbing gears in the flat 6 and rear engine handling is like a drug for me.  Been scooting around alone in them in my spare time wondering if anyone else would enjoy them in the future?
