could not work out how to get the modded track to work. I tried adding the extra files in to the existing track file but couldn't get it to work. Were we supposed to add the 'zandvoort_osrw' folder inside the 'ks_zandvoort' folder?

Yes SRW. The ZIP had the actual folder structure in it starting with the content folder so it should have just been a case of unzipping it to there.

Sometimes in races i feel it.. Maybe ping maybe someone else relative to AC.

Again an intense race, eventhough Zandvoort is probably my least favorite track  Grin

Right from the start I was side by side with Jeffrey in T1, then T2, continuing through T3 and then through the bumpy uphill( updune  Huh ) part where we almost made it out unscathed. First time I got bumped off track by him ( if you don't like these cars though, don't take it out on me ... jk  Tongue, I knew that was a recipe for disaster but refused to back out of it  Grin )
Newer damage model seem to working alot better since I wasn't really noticing it much, got behind Thomas after that on third. Pain in the ass to overtake on this track though, unless you get a better exit out of the last turns. Managed to sneak by after a close fight that lasted about 8 laps or so, pretty intense.
Unfortanely Jeffrey had about a 4,5 second lead so I spent the remainder trying to close it, but that was just too much of a gap.

Bring on Silverstone  Cool

I think AC has a randomizer - not sure if that's a server setting or not but would explain the not always consistent grip online.

I had a surprisingly good race seeing as how I ran slightly wide into T1 on the 1st lap and then got fully escorted off by someone else having their own accident!
Rejoined dead last only to climb back up a few immediately after the carnage between T1 & 2.

Was just a case of pushing hard and staying tidy to the finish then and mopping up any other fallers.
I recon I might have got Jonzo too had we had another 5 laps or so Cheesy  Tongue

Well what a race. Qualified an amazing 6th, again, going quicker than I have ever gone before. Made an average start and held station behind Alexis through the inside line of turn 1. On the exit he got a tank slapper as did I (diesel spill???) but I managed to catch mine but unfortunately Alexis didn't. I braked and had to swerve to avoid contact but got tagged by his rear which spun me around. This then blocked the track and others then got tagged.

I was then last but one and set about catching the pack. Made a lovely pass on Mark E going into turn 1 and then an amazing pass on Picnic going into Marlborobocht. After that it was a case of just chasing FMG for 17 laps. Despite driving out of my skin, the gap stayed around 3 seconds and I eventually came home in 8th.

Enjoyed it despite the turn 1 spin.

Looking at our best times in qually I think I see why the gap stayed the same  Grin

this was kinda schrödingers race for me.

it was superb and bad at the same time. the first 9 laps were strictly intense: i had a surprisingly good start, gaining 7 (!) spots in the first lap (i think the first corner as well) and saw myself on P6 behind Simon and Luca. i tried to attack Simon immediatly, but he defended well and since then i just couldnt get anywhere near him anymore. we all had a stable gap to each other of about 0,5-1 seconds and went on like that for the next laps.

I didnt really feel comfortable in my car even tho i had little to no issues in practice the other day. (i really should stop only showing up for a quick qualify run but warm up properly in the pre-quali practice session)... anyways, as i had to push very hard to keep up with luca and simon i made a mistake into the Hairpin, spinning my car around and loosing 2-3 spots. But due to the little donut i had to make, my rear tyres were super hot which led to another 2 spins, making me lose over 40 seconds in just one lap.. gg Denis. gg

i then saw myself at the very back of the field and tried to make up for as many positions as possible. I had Chris (i believe it was) in front of me, had the better pace but as it was very hard to overtake at this track i was kinda stuck. So i tried to force an overtake in the second last corner as i tried to squeeze through on the inside. I dont think it was a divebomb but looking at the replay i wasnt as much on his side as i thought i would be in the race. Anyways, could have probably left more space but it was my fault nevertheless....

i also want to apologize for not waiting for you, chris.. normally i do that when i know i made a mistake, but in the race i thought you turned into me.
after watching the replay i know i should have at least waited for you, sorry

anyways, fun circuit for these cars, but very demanding for sure.
lets see what silverstone brings us Smiley

i love this series, did i mention that already? Wink

Another tough intense round of racing. This bumpy undulating circuit is a tough one in these cars. I felt knackered after 10 laps!

Qually seemed long with the extra 5 mins  Undecided what did you guys think? It did make it a little less rushed which is good but removes a bit of intensity. Took me a few laps to bag a good time but everyone else was doing likewise. I held 9th to the dying seconds only to be pipped by Simon  Roll Eyes

Starting 10th I had a decent enough start but Denis still flew past! Then on run up to t2 two cars ahead seemed to take to the grass/sand and as one spun I just slipped through the gap. I guess the spinner caused a traffic jam behind ? As had clear mirrors for quite a while while I chased the cars ahead very hard for 10 laps. Then I got cramp in my right foot on the t3 hairpin and clumped the barrier softly losing 2 secs and that was enough to lose sight of most of the group ahead.
I did gain one more place when Denis had a spin at the last chicane, gratefully taken  Smiley
On lap 16 I got the low fuel warning light and that made me a bit panicky and I started short shifting but seems I had enough...phew.
Finished 7th.

Hope everyone had great racing, shame the early spinner broke the grid in two or I think there would have been even more frantic action.
Congrats to Jeff on the win and the podium finishers.

We move to the far smoother and wider Silverstone for round 3  thumbup2
