For the newer guys, our practise server is up running all week before the race and the laptimes are recorded on stracker (see post1) Maikel is currently setting the pace (think that's beaten the RSR record!) and I am a 'mere' 2 secs behind but even that had me in top few times of RSR I think with a 2:06. Sure the rest of you showboaters will be along soon to spank my time into mediocrity

RSR record is set at 2:03:398 Some adjustable damper settings would have been nice to get rid of that lift-off oversteer, though looking at the onboard video it seems to be the same in the real world

If any of you, like me, were thinking the onboard sounds hadn't quite been nailed by Kunos for the cup car, go get this sound mod :- http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/fonsecker-sound-pack-part-4-porsche-pack.13468/the Cup car sounds are spot on with all the right gearbox/transmission whine. Now it sounds just like in the real world vids Just install the mod to somewhere. Copy/paste your original sfx file somewhere safe, then cut and paste the two files from this mod into cars/ sfx directory. I have only tried the cup car so far out of the pack but it sounds awesome. 2 Files go in here:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\ks_porsche_911_gt3_cup_2017\sfx

Damn you Maikel. You are way too fast with a 2.04s lap. I'll donate you a pound, so maybe you could stop by at the ice cream van along the track for a moment during the race tomorrow?..

I've never noticed it before but Copse corner has a white line a cars width or so outside of the kerbing, is that the track limit. If it is PLP is not setup right.

If it is PLP is not setup right. it looks like for this race the track was indicated by that line, yeah. but im not sure this is the case for every series racing there. maybe they alter the limits of that corner according to the competing cars? dunno

The Porsche cups in real life don't really seem to have any track limit, saw the race at circuit of the Americas and they were all going 4 car widths wide, overtaking while being miles off track, kinda funny to watch Damn you Maikel. I'd go for a hot cup of coffee with this weather As far as setupping goes everytime I try to change something about the stock setup I tend to lose time. Still am quickest with stock setup, left front tyre down a click and downforce at 4.

Well I want to see everyone trying to maintain track limits particularly at Copse! If we allow cars to swing wildly out there and rejoin it's going to create contacts and spins. Those kerbs and verge on the outside love causing violent spins to the unwary. Wow you set that time with a stock setup? I'll have to try that then as I have been chasing all sorts of ARB settings

It was a big surprize for me - cup car have very overdanpened (firm) dampers and springs. Therefore car feels as like as stool Not stabil in bumps track like silver ( not only zand) Stabilized setup is not achievable here at all . But i still love it. Tomorrow i'll try wing 4. But 6 seems to me more balansed. But i an not fast pilot Have a good race, guys!

i did only 2 laps so far with the base setup and got a 05.7 immediatly 3 laps fiddling around with some setup changes and it didnt really make me faster. stock setup seems to be top notch for this track
