Really good race for me but difficult as well. Qualified a disappointing 9th but withe a half decent time so probably at my max. Made an amazing start and pulled along side Mark J and went side my side through turn 1. Managed to keep hold of the place and made another place passing Alexey down the Wellington straight. A few laps latter Denis and Mouseman tangled and I made another two places up to 5th.

I then had a great little scrap with Alexey which resulted in contact and a spin. Mighty angry at the time as I felt I was given no space and squeezed but looking back there is some truth to that but I don't think Alexey could see me still so just a racing incident. I then had an intense battle holding Denis back. My car was struggling to turn in and it was a real handful keeping Denis behind. I had to try and park it on the apex to some of the slow corners to kill him momentum and thankfully I held him off to take 6th.

Great race everyone and looking forward to the next.

I had another great race with these cars, this time the fight was with nfsw ( someone different everytime  Grin ).

Qualified 2nd and right from the start I was right behind him. Difficult to see where all my braking points where and everything, pretty difficult to overtake here aswell  Tongue
Noticed he had a different line thoughout corners 6 and 7 ( the double hairpin one ), so after a few laps I was starting to work on a plan. With the A-team tune on the background and everything I finally managed to squeeze by only to lose it a lap later by my own mistake  :'(

Though I got by again a few laps later at those corners ( staying in 3rd thoughout that part is faster  Cool ) and got my first win in this series...love it when a plan comes together ("smoking hannibal emoticon")

A tip though; if you see someone whos faster in practise just watch a few laps onboard and steal...uhm copy his line and everything. I always did that with Jeffrey and ChrisR  Grin

Onwards to the RedbullRing

Aww I was kicking myself after that race! For once I felt I had top 6 pace and was looking forward to a race long scrap with the front boys.
Qually was mental as I yo-yo'd from 3rd to 8th and any in between  Tongue only to get blinking pipped by 2 or 3 others right at the end of sesh.  Roll Eyes
Still, got a decent start but Linus sped past and I made him work for the position in the following corners.
But all was going to plan until I got an annoying spin out of turn 3 when i got on the power too soon. This dropped me right to near the back  :'( I was gutted!
This fuelled me into motion and I spent the race catching and picking off the field one by one, some easier than others  Wink
My chase ended at 9th behind Picnic who kept steadily ahead.

Good fun racing but felt like I dropped some good points tonight, frustrating!

Congrats to Maikel on a great win and the podium finishers  Cool

Not sure why we were 6 drivers down tonight?  Undecided  but still a good turn out and grid.

Had a blast, once again Smiley

Qualy went okayish even though i was a bit slower than i could have been, but whatever. Ended up in 6th and had a decent start, but couldnt make up any positions early on.
For the first laps there was no chance of overtaking as laptimes were so similar between me and the guys around me.
Mousemen than made a mistake in T6, that got Simon to overtake him and i wanted to follow him into T7. I got by Mousemen before T7 but apparently he still had his nose stuck in that little gap on the inside that i slowly shut down unfortunately for us. I didnt notice he was still in there and it was due to centimeters that caused the contact. I lost 5-6 spots but fought my way up the grid again until P7 where i closed in on Michael Boylan for the last 5 laps and we got a nice little finish with only split seconds between us Smiley

thanks again for this awesome racing experience. Without a doubt i can say, this is the series that i enjoy most by quite a bit. I am enjoying the cars and the people a lot.
cheers guys

Sorry to hear Bob, get well soon.

Were there any incidents to report from last night? I saw one two-car collision ahead of me at one point but no idea if it was contact or just someone spinning. Only ask as the grid seemed the most spread out I've seen it in this close series so far.  Undecided

And has someone got a replay? Ta  Smiley

That was propably me and Mouseman.. explained the incident in my post race post, but i dont think its worth a report or anything as it was just a stupid race incident.

Here is the replay

P.S Where do the skinpack go?

glad that i could help you with your steering issue.

do you mean where to install the skinpack?

the Skin folders of the cars should go to game folder/content/cars/ks_porsche_911_gt3_cup_2016/skins

but it might be that the correct folder structure is already given in the skinpack, in that case (if you have a "content" folder from the skinpack) you would just need to put that in the game folder and the skins will automatically get dragged in the right place.

double check to be sure tho

Rather eventful race. You did seem to have a nightmare FMG, no probs with the contact, but actually was diapointed that you suffered from it quite badly, I managed to catch the car and carry on. This let Stefan through on the outside of the final turn so was kinda waiting for him to turn having given him the position but then got hit from behind by Les which sent me to the back of the field. Tried to get my head down and get back up the field and just was getting back on to the back of Stefan on the last lap. Bit annoyed as I know I should have been higher up. But driving Silverstone in these was quite fun!

Jeez, Apex how have you been able to drive all these years with such low steering lock. There are no settings in modern games as they support 900deg wheels and just replicate the real cars lock.

Forgot to say, I think a couple of cars were running with engine damage last night as they had a permanent 'F16 style afterburner' look from the rear tail pipes  Grin  assume you were a little over-aggressive with the downshifts? Something to be aware of for future rounds as it will cost you performance.

Hi Spanner, sorry if it was me who hit you, but I don't remember knocking anyone off... I'll have a look at the replay. It was a bit of a race to forget for me; I tried logging in 3 or 4 times and found myself in the wrong car (anyone else had that experience?) Managed to get in with qually half gone. Got a couple of slowish laps in before the start. Got up to ninth due to incidents ahead of me, then spent the rest of the race trying to keep up with those ahead of me and steadily losing ground. I need more practice before next week...
