The "old" version has proven itself in the past, IMO it's a bit late to gamble on an untested version.
Rfactor, GTR2 games etc? Yes! Ok ok.

I say drop this round and replace it with Spa Then test bother versions in some fun races between championships

i second this.. neither of those mods is perfect and just because one has a bit more bumps doesnt justify risking bs happen because of some undetected flaws but i havent raced on any of those tracks, even tho i did some laps offline on one of them. but i dont know which version i had and which one is supposed to be the "new" one :/

I think we will stick with the tried and tested one for this series rather than risk the newer variant without an online race test. If the new one had blown me away with improvements then I might have changed it but other than some track side improvements it's not a big leap. But thanks for highlighting potential better versions as I don't get as much spare time as some of you to be aware of them

Tried both of them just now, concluded most of the same as what Alexy said.
The track is abit more bumpy especially in the first sector, in the older it feels and looks completely flat, whereas in this one there are some bumps on the straight and some elevation changes in T2. Middle sector is mostly the same, though I actually found the T7/8/9 part to be abit easier on this version, here the older one has abit more tricky elevation going on. At T12 it feels actually quite bad, the outher curb has no feeling to it whatsoever and the gravel there feels just like tarmac ( haven't tested all the gravel yet, though grass seems to be working ok ). Older version has a better T12, more feeling to the curb and the gravel is deadly. Final few turns remain the same. I was also 1,5 seconds faster on the newer track.
Don't mind sticking to the older one though, both tracks seem pretty good. Older version has a last middle sector and new version has a better first sector imo.

aargh, I am really torn now. Having just done a load of laps on both I find I can no longer un-see the Simbin-ness of the first track The new version is much better visually though I think a couple of kerbs are not so well done in that they offer no feedback or resistance. I just ran a 16 car offline race and had no issues with frame-rates or stutters etc. and no cars disappeared down black holes. I really quite fancy using the new improved one now. Will speak to my trusty server man. Baikel, can you edit that grip file and upload the corrected track somewhere for me to download?

I used the newer track for some GT3 league racing a few months ago and never had problems with it. Nevertheless I'm fine with both versions, its your choice Mark

I wish you you wernt so indecisive MJ, i really dont like this version! I've never seen the track with so much elelvation change and those first few corners feel so unrealistic. I've always thought our old track was quite realistic interms of layout. This is only partly due to having used the other one for so long.

Anyone know why when I copy Baikels link it doesn't work? Tried a few times. You need to put the URL between [ URL ] BBCode thingies or use the Inert Hyperlink button in the editor's ribbon bar thing. I've updated it for you.
